Penfold Posted June 14, 2012 Report Posted June 14, 2012 And ESPN already pay for a tv deal without old firm games! Wasn't a surprise to see Archie McPherson pushing the shite that football needs TV. What he really meant was he needs football to be on TV to stay in a job. Quote
Mentorred Posted June 15, 2012 Report Posted June 15, 2012 Does anyone know with THE Rangers being a Newco does the company have to change it's logo/badge? If so how can they be selling next seasons strips? Maybe one for the liquidators to sort out. I love how they still have the same website as if nothing has changed. Quote

Mentorred Posted June 16, 2012 Report Posted June 16, 2012 Would be funny if after spending their hard earned giro's on the new strip the liquidators come in and say thats not legal, new company so you can't have the same strip and logo as the old company. Quote

That's a point, didn't Volkswagen get a bit of a shock when they bought Rolls Royce? They couldn't use the RR logo or name as it was sold to the Gas Turbine Division of Rolls Royce. Could be cool if someone bought the Rangers Badge and trademarks, making newco start from scratch! Quote
dave_min Posted June 16, 2012 Report Posted June 16, 2012 I remember Fiorentina had to change their strip colour after going bust for some legal reason. Quote
Kowalski Posted June 20, 2012 Report Posted June 20, 2012 From Jim Spence: "Aberdeen say season ticket sales on par with this time last year , but no figures given. St johnstone have sold around 200 season tickets." "Dundee Utd season book sales currently around 1700. At end of June last year 4300 sold. Stephen Thompson meets fans reps tomorrow re Newco." My arse. Quote
CtS Posted June 20, 2012 Report Posted June 20, 2012 Just means no fucker bought any last season either, albeit for completely different reasons. Quote
dave_min Posted June 20, 2012 Report Posted June 20, 2012 My arse. Agreed. I don't know a single person who's got one for next season. Quote
Mentorred Posted June 20, 2012 Report Posted June 20, 2012 Agreed. I don't know a single person who's got one for next season. My parents got theirs. Quote
Tyrant Posted June 21, 2012 Report Posted June 21, 2012 Agreed. I don't know a single person who's got one for next season. I know 5 people that have. But I know of many more that haven't and who would normally have bought theirs by now. Myself included. Quote

mizer Posted June 21, 2012 Report Posted June 21, 2012 The above statement, boardroom reduction, Millers 6 figure wage gone, no new signings - all points to Wiggy voting yes and trying to hold on through the shit storm and avoid a (greater) financial crisis. Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted June 21, 2012 Report Posted June 21, 2012 There is no doubt it will be the fans fault. Quote
Tyrant Posted June 21, 2012 Report Posted June 21, 2012 Do we know if it will be a public ballot or not? I hope to fuck it is. Quote

Nah, there have been too many quotes from Pittodrie about "Sporting integrity" being at the "forefront" of the decision I can't see AFC voting newco it. It could effectively finish the Dons if he voted them in. Quote

Thankfully Johnstone of Killie opened his big hun mouth and said sporting integrity was not important. Quote

Kowalski Posted June 21, 2012 Report Posted June 21, 2012 Updated survey: http://www.splsurvey.co.uk/ Q5 is badly worded. There should be an option for I WILL give up on Scottish Football, rather than I have ALREADY given up on Scottish Football. Quote
capitalsharpie Posted June 21, 2012 Report Posted June 21, 2012 the one thing that Milne's tenure of the club is apparent for is that it has been spattered with many, many poor decision, often completely misjudging the thoughts and feelings of the fans. I dread to think that this may be one more of those short sighted, short term money comes first decisions Quote
Jute Posted June 21, 2012 Report Posted June 21, 2012 Chris Harvey on Twitter saying that if vote is up to Milne he will vote yes. Quote
