maverick sheep Posted April 25, 2012 Report Posted April 25, 2012 did we not reject an offer for mcardle in jan? Quote
Kowalski Posted April 25, 2012 Report Posted April 25, 2012 All the best to them, particularly The Dazzler. Why is McArdle leaving? He's not too shabby. Quote
Tyrant Posted April 25, 2012 Report Posted April 25, 2012 All the best to them, particularly The Dazzler. Why is McArdle leaving? He's not too shabby. Because we've got a much better RB back in the form of Josh Magennis. When I say better I mean cheaper. Quote
tlg1903 Posted April 25, 2012 Report Posted April 25, 2012 Mcardle is no rb but can play there, stunned he is being allowed to leave as with mawene leaving, Reynolds only on loan we only have ando and considine to play at centre back. maggenis getting a new deal is mind blowing All the best to dazzlin Quote
Tyrant Posted April 25, 2012 Report Posted April 25, 2012 Craig Brown's legacy: Releasing Darren Mackie. Quote
tlg1903 Posted April 25, 2012 Report Posted April 25, 2012 Craig Brown's legacy: Releasing Darren Mackie. Yep probably will be at that Quote

mizer Posted April 25, 2012 Report Posted April 25, 2012 No surprise other than Mackie as I had heard he was going to be offered a contract. Quote
maverick sheep Posted April 25, 2012 Report Posted April 25, 2012 this probably means there will (as there always are) be a few centre halfs floating around in summer on a free. so we'll have our usual few months of "we have a few irons in the fire" before signing a couple of 39 year old azerbaijanian center halfs just before deadline day. they have to be seen to sign someone, so change for change's sake is as much as i'm anticipating. Azteca1903 Posted April 25, 2012 Report Posted April 25, 2012 Surprised McArdle wasn't kept on, this season's been his best so far. Otherwise no surprises really. I can't imagine us signing players of substantially better quality than the ones we've let go, but a bit of fucking balance in the squad for the first time in a good few years could make a big difference. Do it. Quote
Madbadteacher Posted April 25, 2012 Report Posted April 25, 2012 McArdle will be replaced at RB by Magennis, or Ando! Quote

dave_min Posted April 29, 2012 Report Posted April 29, 2012 Craig Brown's legacy: Releasing Darren Mackie. Terrible decision from the senile old man. Broon oot. Quote
KGB Posted April 29, 2012 Report Posted April 29, 2012 Terrible decision from the senile old man. Broon oot. Agreed, the Dazzler has been an integral part of our massive success over the last decade, he's talismanic. Quote
caledonia Posted April 29, 2012 Report Posted April 29, 2012 Agreed, the Dazzler has been an integral part of our massive success over the last decade, he's talismanic. He must have scored near a thousand goals in his 10+ years at the club - oh wait a minute Quote
BigAl Posted April 29, 2012 Report Posted April 29, 2012 No surprises in amongst that lot other than Tommy Think this is a bad decision by Broon and Knox Quote
baggy89 Posted May 2, 2012 Report Posted May 2, 2012 Clangers gets a two year deal. Eh? Last year gets a one year deal to prove himself, spends virtually the entire season out with a brain defect, comes back plays worse than shite in one game and gets a two year deal??? This takes him beyond the deal our geriatric manager has, so whoever the next muppet we have in charge of our "football team" is, he's stuck with a dodgy keeper with a dodgy heed. And folk wonder why we are so shite!!! Quote
BigAl Posted May 2, 2012 Report Posted May 2, 2012 Clangers gets a two year deal. Completely lost for words Quote

manc_don Posted May 2, 2012 Author Report Posted May 2, 2012 Christ, I thought today was going to be a good day. Quote
maverick sheep Posted May 2, 2012 Report Posted May 2, 2012 ott reaction imo. shocker at the weekend and should only be a one year deal, but when (if) he gets back to match sharpness - which is as true for goalies' mentally as for outfield players - he's good enough to give broon a challenge for the jersey. hopefully the fact that it's 2 years is a sign that his wages have been reduced. if not then that's a big mistake.
