BigAl Posted May 30, 2012 Report Posted May 30, 2012 Supreme daftness. Agreed, we appear to have fucked up big time yet again. Quote
Kowalski Posted June 1, 2012 Report Posted June 1, 2012 Dons miss out as Perth Saints get Hasselbaink By michael gannon Published: 01/06/2012 Aberdeen target Nigel Hasselbaink is to snub the Dons and sign for SPL rivals St Johnstone. The Dutchman, who scored eight goals from 28 starts for St Mirren last season, has agreed terms on a two-year contract at McDiarmid Park and will sign on his return from holiday today. Quote
CtS Posted June 1, 2012 Report Posted June 1, 2012 Sad day when a very average footballer chooses to sign for my 'wee team' instead of my real team. Quote
maverick sheep Posted June 1, 2012 Report Posted June 1, 2012 Sad day when a very average footballer chooses to sign for my 'wee team' instead of my real team. if our two targets were so mince, but we still couldn't sign them i shudder to think what level of player we're actually in the market for. i seriously doubt we'd be attracting even a top-ish blue sq premier player. I'm not losing any sleep over Hasselbaink at all, I think he's pretty poor. One player I am disappointed we didn't appear to go for is Tam Scobbie, who has also joined St Johnstone for free. He usually impressed me for U-21s, don't know how he's played since Falkirk went down but always struck me as one of Falkirk's better players when in the SPL, in a position (LB) which has been an obvious problem for us for years. Jute Posted June 1, 2012 Report Posted June 1, 2012 Thing I find concering is that everyone else seems to be fixing up players already while all we are doing is realeasing stories claiming players have signed when they have not. Looks like we are going to be left with the scraps again. Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted June 1, 2012 Report Posted June 1, 2012 Whilst I agree that Hasselbaink (or the "Fish") is no big miss he probably is a better option up front with Vern than what we have at the club. There have to be better options than Hasselbaink but our current group are shite. Quote
McMaster Posted June 5, 2012 Report Posted June 5, 2012 Its a long shot but I was seeing that Bebe is available on a year long loan fae Man utd. Fergie saying he won't give up on him. Attacking midfielder who plays wide or through the middle. Mind u, he was injured for 6 months playing for Portugal, and then got intae trouble at Besiktas. Maybe not I think though. Quote

BigAl Posted June 6, 2012 Report Posted June 6, 2012 Swanson signed for Peterboro. Another one bites the dust as Freddie sung Quote
glasgowdon Posted June 6, 2012 Report Posted June 6, 2012 Not bothered about these two. I will be gutted if we don't get Hayes and Tesselar though. Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted June 6, 2012 Report Posted June 6, 2012 Tesselar is going to Killie is he no? Quote
Jute Posted June 6, 2012 Report Posted June 6, 2012 Tesselar is going to Killie is he no? That's what I had read anyway. Need to get a left back as priority now as pretty sure Considine is suspended for start of season. Quote

TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted June 7, 2012 Report Posted June 7, 2012 McArdle signed for Bradford City. Quote
BigAl Posted June 7, 2012 Report Posted June 7, 2012 McArdle signed for Bradford City. Disappointed with that one. would rather have kept him. Find it strange we never made him any kind of offer to stay Quote
Tyrant Posted June 7, 2012 Report Posted June 7, 2012 He's pish. The only thing that's strange is others (who are equally as pish if not more so) were made offers to stay. Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted June 7, 2012 Report Posted June 7, 2012 I think he was on too much money I agree. He was being paid. Quote
Jute Posted June 7, 2012 Report Posted June 7, 2012 McArdle signed for Bradford City. Good. Never good enough. Quote
manc_don Posted June 8, 2012 Author Report Posted June 8, 2012 Good. Never good enough. But as others have said, better than some of those that are left. Not happy with this one. Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted June 8, 2012 Report Posted June 8, 2012 Good. Never good enough. Not bad at just defending, but in reality he was exceptionally bad when he had the ball at his feet... never a good thing for a footballer, regardless of position these days. Quote
Madbadteacher Posted June 21, 2012 Report Posted June 21, 2012 Some guy, Aluko(?) on a free from huns. Worth a look? Quote
