One Bobby Clark Posted May 15, 2012 Report Posted May 15, 2012 The few St.Mirren fans I have spoken to at work aren't fussed if he leaves. Very frustrating player by the sounds of things. Will be anonymous for a few games then play a stormer. That could possibly be an improvement on what we have now, which is purely the anonymous bit........... Quote
Tyrant Posted May 17, 2012 Report Posted May 17, 2012 Would be happy with Hasselbaink if he plays half as good as he plays against us. Quote

BigAl Posted May 17, 2012 Report Posted May 17, 2012 What a fucking ingenious idea I seriously take my hat off to Messrs Brown & Knox. I can't imagine why no one thought of it sooner Quote
maverick sheep Posted May 17, 2012 Report Posted May 17, 2012 it's nae broon's fault the ee are lazy pricks. they ask every year "have you checked whether fergie has a player?" so what's the manager supposed to say? Quote
Tyrant Posted May 17, 2012 Report Posted May 17, 2012 For a change he should say fuck all. A manager should say absolutely fuck all about any signing until such times as the broom cupboard picture has been taken and the player is officially an AFC football club player. Quote

Aye about specific players I agree. But the manager's not to blame for the classic lazy journo tactic to produce chip paper. Either he says yes, no, or avoids answering whether he'd like a Man U loanee - the last of which will be taken to mean yes or no depending on the day's EE agenda. It's the Hayes/Hasselbaink blethering that I have a problem with. I always thought we were allowing agents to use us to talk up their players so that they'd then owe us a favour, but we never actually seem to call the favours in if that's the case Quote

To be fair to Brown, he has managed that most of the time he's been here. Quote

mizer Posted May 18, 2012 Report Posted May 18, 2012 Aberdeen manager Craig Brown’s number one target Jonny Hayes has been offered a two-year contract at Pittodrie. The 24-year-old Irish attacker, who has also been offered a new two-year deal by Caley Thistle, held contract talks with Brown and Dons chief executive Duncan Fraser yesterday. Aberdeen have also been given the go-ahead to open contract talks with Nigel Hasselbaink after the Dutch attacker rejected an offer from St Mirren. Quote
glasgowdon Posted May 18, 2012 Report Posted May 18, 2012 Would've preferred three year deal for Hayes but happy we've at least offered something. If we sign both, is Pawlett done? Quote

glasgowdon Posted May 18, 2012 Report Posted May 18, 2012 going by his performances i suspect he's done regardless Yea, was having this discussion with a mate earlier. Showed nothing like the player we saw in his cameos 2/3 years ago. Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted May 18, 2012 Report Posted May 18, 2012 Brown has had discussions with Sheff Wed over taking Reynolds on loan next season. He thinks Dave Jones may think Reynolds is not tall enough to play CH in the Championship. His wages have also rocketed due to their promotion and Brown believes they may wish to put him on loan so they get some money back on him. Although if that's the case... why not just sell him? Quote
