dickofthedons Posted July 19, 2012 Report Posted July 19, 2012 Would take him in a heartbeat. Frees up Considine to play center with Anderson which could be a solid partnership if they stay fit. Also as said, someone experienced to help Robertson as well Quote
dickofthedons Posted July 19, 2012 Report Posted July 19, 2012 He is on trial, apparently going to Germany Quote
maverick sheep Posted July 19, 2012 Report Posted July 19, 2012 Naysmith would be an excellent addition. Quote
manc_don Posted July 19, 2012 Author Report Posted July 19, 2012 Agreed with the above sentiments. We shouldn't turn him down, providing he's injury free Quote
Madbadteacher Posted July 19, 2012 Report Posted July 19, 2012 Agreed with the above sentiments. We shouldn't turn him down, providing he's injury free didn't seem to matter when we signed Anderson! Quote
bloo_toon_red Posted July 19, 2012 Report Posted July 19, 2012 Gary Naysmith is allegedly just training with us. However at 33 provided he still has a good level of fitness, I actually reckon he could still do a job for us in this season's SPL Absolutely cracking player in his prime, I'd take him in a heartbeat if he's fit, could be a great example to our younger players. The SPL would hold no fears for him. Quote

dave_min Posted July 19, 2012 Report Posted July 19, 2012 Good: Agent Football @AgentScotland Aberdeen have been encouraged to sign Gary Naysmith after learning he's willing to deal for £1500 per week Bad: Agent Football @AgentScotland Gary Kenneth has attracted interest from both Aberdeen and Hibs, he wants to go to England but offers are scarce so SPL now showing interest Quote
tlg1903 Posted July 19, 2012 Report Posted July 19, 2012 Kenneth looked a player when he had webster along side him controlling the line imo Quote
McMaster Posted July 20, 2012 Report Posted July 20, 2012 Gary Naysmith is 33 I thought he was about 43! It's felt like he has been about for a lot longer than that. I quite like Gary Kenneth actually. A bit of a liability at times but most of out CBs have been. Surely another full back would be better Quote
El Padre™ Posted July 20, 2012 Report Posted July 20, 2012 Jesus Christ, we'll end up with the most immobile defence in the history of the SPL. Quote

maverick sheep Posted July 20, 2012 Report Posted July 20, 2012 I'd take an immobile defence over no defence. Quote
Madbadteacher Posted July 20, 2012 Report Posted July 20, 2012 Still gonna be better than Inglis? Quote
One Bobby Clark Posted July 20, 2012 Report Posted July 20, 2012 There's been worse than Inglis. Chic McClelland............. Quote
Jute Posted July 20, 2012 Report Posted July 20, 2012 There's been worse That is a depressingly acurate statement. Quote
tlg1903 Posted July 20, 2012 Report Posted July 20, 2012 Never saw him (or heard of him for that matter) but the worst cb i.have seen in red was solberg Quote
Madbadteacher Posted July 21, 2012 Report Posted July 21, 2012 There's been worse than Inglis. Chic McClelland............. Chick McLelland was not worse than Inglis, and he was a LB as I remember? Quote
One Bobby Clark Posted July 21, 2012 Report Posted July 21, 2012 Indeed he was. ( a LB, the other debate is always going to be slanted by personal opinions) I thought we were talking about poor defenders generally, not just poor central defenders. Quote
McMaster Posted July 21, 2012 Report Posted July 21, 2012 If its generally bad defenders McQuilken must be tops!! :o Now playing at Cambuslang Rangers!! At least he has found his level. Quote
