maverick sheep Posted May 12, 2012 Report Posted May 12, 2012 Not sure if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but heard them mention on the radio earlier that if we don't score today this is the lowest scoring league campaign since 1917. Awesome. Quote

Awesome. Awesome. Don't we play more league games per season now then we did in 1917 too? Quote
dave_min Posted May 12, 2012 Report Posted May 12, 2012 Don't we play more league games per season now then we did in 1917 too? Forget to mention, this question is for you Al Quote
Madbadteacher Posted May 12, 2012 Report Posted May 12, 2012 Was there a league season as such in 1917, there was a war on you know? Quote
Mentorred Posted May 12, 2012 Report Posted May 12, 2012 Good luck for your future. Unbeaten as captain, maybe he will get that contract after all. Quote
manc_don Posted May 12, 2012 Report Posted May 12, 2012 Guess the result today typified our season, bland and goalless. Quote
mizer Posted May 12, 2012 Report Posted May 12, 2012 Listening to Carig Broon at FT - he is clearly in cloud cuckoo land. Apparently we didnt deserve to finish in the bottom 6 this season....... In other season we could have been relegated winning only 9 games and scoring less goals than the rest of the teams. Quote
One Bobby Clark Posted May 12, 2012 Report Posted May 12, 2012 I'm amazed they got over 10,000 at that game. 9th , three consecutive seasons...................... I guess we've found our level then Quote
BigAl Posted May 12, 2012 Author Report Posted May 12, 2012 Forget to mention, this question is for you Al Easy one that, in 1917 along with Dundee and Raith Rovers we dropped out of competitive football owing to the small matter of WW1 Quote
Graeme_S Posted May 12, 2012 Report Posted May 12, 2012 Strangely fitting that dazzler signed off his career as captain in a game with no goals. Quote
Penfold Posted May 12, 2012 Report Posted May 12, 2012 Strangely fitting that dazzler signed off his career as captain in a game with no goals. And missing a couple of sitters. Today also highlighted Craig Brown's lack of intelligence. Considine was 1 booking away from receiving a 2 match suspension, which he picked up and will now miss the first 2 games of next season. Why play him? I can see the comments next August already. After 2 poor defensive displays we'll have "We've not been able to play our first choice defence yet" and "Andy is back next week, he'll be like a new signing". The bench was filled with shite. Guys like Clark, Mcardle, Mawene when kids like Smith and McManus should have been given a chance in this match. And lastly, why not sub off Mackie? Everyone there expected to see Mackie subbed off, to give him his reception and close the door on that chapter. Instead we were left with a rather awkward applause at the end with most folk having left. Quote
stoney Posted May 14, 2012 Report Posted May 14, 2012 Failed to score in 18 of our 38 league games, Must be a record for us of some sort. Quote
Kowalski Posted June 14, 2012 Report Posted June 14, 2012 Darren Mackie struggling to find another club after leaving Aberdeen FC Striker may now look abroad By Charlie Allan Published: 14/06/2012 FORMER Aberdeen FC player Darren Mackie today admitted he may be forced to move abroad to ensure he can stay in football. Striker Darren confirmed he hasn’t had a single offer from another Scottish club since being released by Aberdeen FC at the end of last month. “My wife and I have already spoken about the possibility of having to go abroad,” he said. scunnered999 Posted June 14, 2012 Report Posted June 14, 2012 Can't believe there isn't any interest in Darren from other Scottish Clubs. Would have thought Ross County or Dundee would have been possibilities. Quote
CtS Posted June 14, 2012 Report Posted June 14, 2012 He could do a turn for rangers in division 3. Quote
Madbadteacher Posted June 14, 2012 Report Posted June 14, 2012 He'll be Pa Brown's "big new signing" Quote
