Madbadteacher Posted May 30, 2012 Report Posted May 30, 2012 I thought the thread title was explaining his propensity for being the colour orange? My bad! Quote

dave_min Posted May 30, 2012 Report Posted May 30, 2012 What happened his gig in Clogland? Was only until the end of the season. Quote
Madbadteacher Posted May 30, 2012 Report Posted May 30, 2012 Is he going to eb fitba's "til the end of the season" goto guy now? Quote
tlg1903 Posted May 30, 2012 Report Posted May 30, 2012 I think JC did have the right to expect a little better than he has received since leaving aberdeen.................. but not much. He is not a bad manager, he is just not a good one Quote
manc_don Posted May 31, 2012 Report Posted May 31, 2012 Was it ever disclosed why Go Ahead Eagles never renewed his contract last season? Quote
maverick sheep Posted May 31, 2012 Report Posted May 31, 2012 Was it ever disclosed why Go Ahead Eagles never renewed his contract last season? they had the fans' choice lined up. it was destiny Quote

He is not a bad manager, he is just not a good one Don't think he should ever have expected anything, no one owes him a living. I'm surprised he's not found another job, if anything the way he left Kilmarnock probably put many chairmen off him in these times when money is tight. Quote

dave_min Posted May 31, 2012 Report Posted May 31, 2012 But he certainly was a good manager for Aberdeen. He was great. The best ever in my lifetime by an absolute fucking mile. Quote
ntbear Posted June 3, 2012 Report Posted June 3, 2012 I still cannot believe some utter knobbers refuse to admit Calderwood was doing well at the dons. Despite having the better players sold, let go for nowt, and having little to bring in players, he consistently polished turds. Mind you, its the same fucking idiots who though Willie Miller had done a bad job. Despite two second-place finishes in the league and two losing cup finals. Been fucking downhill since Miller, and Calderwood got us back into europe, and I don't mean getting booted at the first hurdle by part-time tattie munchers either. Have a look at yoursels. Quote
Madbadteacher Posted June 3, 2012 Report Posted June 3, 2012 Miller had to go otherwise we WOULD have gone down. Sorry if that doesn't fit your ideas. He took a brave move to try to totally rebuild the team and let a lot of the older players in their last (few) season(s) go and it didn't work. Quote
Tyrant Posted June 6, 2012 Report Posted June 6, 2012 I can't believe we're still discussing this. Quote
