Ok this is pre-season and it is the time to tinker but we are clearly very short at the back and there must be a priority to get probably 1 signing and a loan in for cover/fb position. If Brown is claiming all those youth players are "like new signings" then they need to be involved with the first team in pre-season. Hopefully they all go to Germany. Either way, we need two full backs. But we've needed them since Calderwood left. McGhee played Derek Young at right back in his first game and it's never been sorted since then. Quote

Would be astonished if we don't bring in at least two defenders. Surely we're just having a look at the guys already on the books because we'll inevitably end up with injuries forcing one of the midfielders into defense at some point. Still three weeks to get folk in so I'm not worried. Yet. Quote

It does show a glaring lack of full backs, and I hope we sign at least one, but at this exact moment it's more important the players we have are fit for 4th August. Quote

And have an array of wingers and fullbacks looking to exploit width IIRC. Quote
