Does anyone take this thing seriously? http://www.fifa.com/worldranking/rankingtable/index.html Unfortunately FIFA do and use it to decide your grouping for World cup draw. UEFA were talking about using it as well a while back for Euros as well but not seen anything on it since. Quote

TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted October 4, 2012 Report Posted October 4, 2012 The comedy of the Fifa rankings continues. England are fifth. That's enough. Quote
dave_min Posted October 4, 2012 Report Posted October 4, 2012 The comedy of the Fifa rankings continues. England are fifth. That's enough. It's cause they never lose any competitive games. Quote
Madbadteacher Posted October 4, 2012 Report Posted October 4, 2012 I'm a liitle confused as to why wer're below Wales though, apart from yon friendly defeat under Berti have they really had "better" results? Quote
Stewart Posted October 4, 2012 Author Report Posted October 4, 2012 I'm a liitle confused as to why wer're below Wales though, apart from yon friendly defeat under Berti have they really had "better" results? All of our good results under McLeish will have dropped off now. We have only won six competitive games since November 2007. Quote

manc_don Posted October 4, 2012 Report Posted October 4, 2012 You do realise that they've humped us 3-0 since that defeat too? I was just going to say. Scotland are pish and have been for years, I'd actually say the rankings are reasonably accurate when you take our competitive games into account. Quote
dave_min Posted October 4, 2012 Report Posted October 4, 2012 I'd forgotten the 0-3 Forget the result, just remember it got rid of Burley I was just going to say. Scotland are pish and have been for years, I'd actually say the rankings are reasonably accurate when you take our competitive games into account. Unfortuantly correct. In the last ~4 years we've beaten: Liechenstein (twice) Lithuania Iceland (twice) Macedonia It's a miracle we're even in the top 100 having such a piss fucking poor record. Quote

maverick sheep Posted November 7, 2012 Report Posted November 7, 2012 our current rankings movements remind me of Andre Agassi when he was off his tits on crystal meth for a couple of years. Quote
BigAl Posted November 7, 2012 Report Posted November 7, 2012 Does anyone really give a flying fuck You're only as good or bad as you're last couple of games, and in that case 70th is probably being rather kind to us Quote

BigAl Posted July 4, 2013 Report Posted July 4, 2013 My give a fuck o meter is barely registering this news, however guess its better than usual news these ranking contain for us. As my dearly departed mother used to say however "one swallow doesn't make a summer" and you just know that come the next game Chesney will bring back the old guard once again. Quote
mizer Posted July 4, 2013 Report Posted July 4, 2013 We are still below the Cape Verde islands, I think it is the equivalent of being below the Shetland islands. Quote
