manc_don Posted March 4, 2013 Report Posted March 4, 2013 See, now why can't AFC be seen to be doing something like the below article. I can't say i've ever read someone from the board statig that they are organised / doing their jobs / prepared for any eventuality. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21647609 Funster, I think I would actually cry if it were either of those managers. tlg1903 Posted March 4, 2013 Report Posted March 4, 2013 Why not tlg? Just out of curiosity? He's a cup winner, something which cannot be said about previous candidates. Sorry Manc just spotted this. True he did win the league cup but it I can't help but suspect Mowbray should get more credit than Collins for that. He just seems to fall out with everyone he works with, and has managerial experience about 2 years long. He never came across well to me as a manager and I would much rather have the guy who has taken the lowest budgeted side in the spl to 4th in the league Quote
RDU_64 Posted March 9, 2013 Report Posted March 9, 2013 Aye time for Broon to go IMHO. Once again, AFC fans are being made a mockery off because once again, we're calling for a manager to go. This game has gotten very boring very quickly. If we were still in the mix for a top six/4th/5th place, I would have advocated Broon to stay for another year but the atrocious form from before Christmas has made my mind up. Ok, it's still possible, after all there's still only two points between us and 6th place Hibs! However, I have completely lost faith that AFC will get their arses into gear. Absolutely zero form, terrible football, many of our players seem to have forgotten how to play football, dwindling crowds, pumped oot of two cups, once again bright prospects choosing to jump ship at the earliest opportunity and an all too familiar, apathetic feel to AFC. However, there's again a lack of outstanding candidates. Just like when we replaced Calderwood with McGhee. Just like when we replaced McGhee with Broon. Can the board not think outside the box? Who gives a flying fuck if he has knowledge of Scottish football? It's hardly La Liga or the Bundesliga! It doesn't matter whether you have a knowledge of Scottish football or not, that doesn't make a good manager. I don't buy into the idea of Derek Adams, he's done well with County but IMO, a lot of it is the right man at the right club. He's got a well run, small club punching above it's weight but that certainly doesn't gurantee you success at another club. We would be appointing Adams on the back of one very good season at County. Edinburghdon Posted March 9, 2013 Report Posted March 9, 2013 100% certain not to be manager next year. His house was put up for sale this week. Quote

Edinburghdon Posted March 11, 2013 Report Posted March 11, 2013 Sauce? The property manager that does the factoring for the development. Quote
bloo_toon_red Posted March 11, 2013 Author Report Posted March 11, 2013 The property manager that does the factoring for the development. Does he still live at Kepplestone? I was of the understanding he didn't own his house there (instead owned by SM himself), but that may have changed. Quote
maverick sheep Posted March 11, 2013 Report Posted March 11, 2013 Bit daft to buy a house when you get the aberdeen gig unless you plan on renting it out pretty soon afterwards. edit- BTR got in there first with what I was thinking... but was much less sarcastic in his tone. -1. Quote

Aye SM does own the property, I'm under the impression Brown still lives there though. Could well be nothing and he's looking for his own place, only passing on what I've been told! Quote
