mizer Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 No Magennis? Steptoe has to be in for a shout as striker. Quote
Tyrant Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 FFS fuck sake Ifil just was not that bad! Quote
mizer Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 FFS fuck sake Ifil just was not that bad! Who was worse then? Quote
Edinburghdon Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 http://www.terracepodcast.com/blogs.html Grassi in midfield?... Quote
Stewart Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 Grassi in midfield?... He definitely played there at least once. Mackie, Kerr and Grassi started in midfield at Ibrox under McGhee. Quote
Azteca1903 Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 I done it. Grassi in midfield?... Was a bit selective I admit. What I was trying to say was that he was bad enough in his actual position, so McGhee starting him for a string of games in the centre of midfield made him (and the team) look substantially worse. Probably a failed attempt on my part to appear clever. Justified it in the accompanying piece: Although initially a defender, the most backward of logic from Mark McGhee saw Grassi thrust into the centre of midfield, where his dizzying clumsiness was laid bare. Left-footed and calamitous, he seemed bewildered by the pace and even the standard of SPL football, watching games take place around him before periodically sticking out a wild leg like a terrified horse in the middle of a busy shopping precinct. The high watermark of his popularity came after just a couple of fleeting appearances, when he donned an AFC-themed facemask to protect a fractured cheekbone. If only Davide hadn’t kicked a ball subsequently, he’d be remembered a hero. And aye, Ifil was that bad. Quote
bloo_toon_red Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 Haraldur Ingolfsson is rumoured to be disconsolate at missing out on the final XI. FFS fuck sake Ifil just was not that bad! Are you for real? It was bad enough he couldn't kick the ball straight, but he was so bad, he even once chucked a throw-in out of play on the same touchline. Quote
Tyrant Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 Who was worse then? Zander Diamond in the form he showed for the last 2 or 3 seasons he was with us. Quote
mizer Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 Zander Diamond in the form he showed for the last 2 or 3 seasons he was with us. Ifil was worse than that for every single second he played! Quote
Stewart Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 Can't argue with the goalkeeper. I'll never forget that night at Rugby Park. Quote
Madbadteacher Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 No Mo Chalalli, Tom Jones, Dave Bus, Gary Hackett, Alex Notman, Juan Cobian, Patricio Billio, Mike Bird, Lubomir Blaha, Tzanko Tzvetanov, Tony Warner, Ricky Gillies, Michele Lombardi and Andreas Velicka? By christ we've had some crap in our time Quote
maverick sheep Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 If Grassi's in as midfielder then Winters should be in as the keeper. I agree with Tyrant re Ifil. The fact no one's mentioned Ricky Foster depresses the shite oota me. He was utter bobbins for all but half a year. Quote
Dandy_Don Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 Brian O'Neil has to be in there... Quote
manc_don Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 This thread makes me sad especially the mention of rugby park Quote
frewdon Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 Toni Kombouare, Peter (Silky)Hetherston, Etienne Verveer & Stevie Crawford also come to mind. Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 Ifil, Bossu, McQuilken and "Gie it tae Johnnie he's clean through" Stewart are about the worst I've ever seen in a Dons jersey. Ifil "wins". Quote
Jute Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 Magennis has to be one of the worst along with Tommy Wright and Leon Mike. Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 Leon Mike yeah but Magennis has positive "qualities". Tommy Wright was nae good but he scored an equaliser at St Mirren the same night he dive-blocked a keepers kick out wi his face. Quote
Mentorred Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 I will call your Iffil and raise you a David Winnie. Quote
BigAl Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 Brian O'Neil has to be in there... Disagree.... the biggest waste of £850k in our history but amongst the worst eleven players in our history....sorry but can't agree. Quote
