it will  be interesting to find out the Justification for playing it at Easter Road?

They can't claim it was agreed at the start of the tournament

They cant claim it is the biggest Non-Glasgow stadium

They Cant claim its equal distance for both sets of supporters

They cant claim its easier to segregate fans (South Stand OF Allocation + RDS vs South Stand, Merkland & Main)

They cant claim its easier for public transport for all fans

Appears they might be trying to

From the mouth of Cockwomble

'"Travel is one of a significant number of factors considered when arranging such fixtures and we are, of course, sympathetic to the unique challenges faced by the Inverness supporters," the SPFL chief executive explained.[/size]"However, other issues such as stadium capacity and facilities, the respective sizes of support which teams will bring and the requirements of broadcasters all have to be considered.'

8000 tickets sold so far after ST's and SC's

These top priority groups will have until close of business on Monday 16th December to secure their seat and guarantee a match ticket.

Thereafter a ballot will take place to distribute the remaining match tickets. In order to qualify for the ballot supporters MUST have attended at least 3 home matches at Pittodrie this season. The ballot will be drawn in early January with all those successful notified week commencing 10th January 2014. You must have a booking history for at least 3 matches to qualify.

With three home matches in December as we welcome St Mirren on Saturday 14th December, Motherwell on Boxing Day and Ross County on Sunday 29th December there is still time for supporters to enhance their buying history and secure a place in the ballot. Tickets for these three matches are now on sale. Please note, you must purchase your tickets for these matches in advance from the Ticket Office in order to complete you buying history.

A small allocation of tickets will also be balloted amongst supporters who attended our away matches in previous round of the cup competition, at Falkirk and Motherwell. To qualify for this ballot you must have purchased your ticket in advance from the Pittodrie Ticket Office.

Saints have apparently sold out their initial allocation and are now waiting for Main Stand tickets to arrive.

One of their message-board mods posted that the AFC official site announced an additional 1200 tickets had been released for the Dons fans but I can't find anything?  ???

Typically the event that stopped me from ordering a ticket through the Glasgow Reds has now been cancelled  :hammer:

We are delighted to confirm that every supporter who has successfully met the ballot criteria for our forthcoming Semi Final match against St Johnstone on Saturday 1st February will be contacted via letter or email by tomorrow to confirm they will be entitled to purchase a maximum of 2 tickets for this game.

All those who have been successful in the ballot will be able to purchase their tickets from 10am on Friday 17th January until 4pm on Wednesday 22nd January.

You can purchase online via www.afc.co.uk/eTickets, by calling us on 01224 63 1903, or by visiting the Pittodrie ticket office.

Supporters must quote the client reference, detailed within their letter, at the point of sale. Seats will be allocated by the Ticket Office on a best available basis.

Please note, ticket sales will be suspended between 2-3pm on Saturday 18th January to allow us to process sales for our home match against Inverness. The Ticket Office will re-open at 4.45pm, once the game has concluded.

If a surplus of ticket remains once everyone within the ballot has been satisfied, these tickets will be offered on a first come, first served basis to season ticket holders week commencing 27th January. Further details on this will be announced in due course.
