I remember a saffa in my year 3 class being very proud that the country had a new flag and political situation. Little did I know of the significance of the event at the time. That alone should bring him respect, but then you look at what he was fighting for, when he was fighting for it, and consequently who he was fighting against for it... and it makes you respect him even more. He forgave the people who wronged him in almost the worst way imaginable. The people in our country can't even respect each other when a bona fide tragedy strikes. Quote
