Superstar Tradesman Posted December 12, 2007 Report Posted December 12, 2007 In the 'Quick Reply' box at the bottom of threads, it would be good if you were able to select a few of the most used smilies along with the more common used functions like Bold, Italics, Image, Link and Quotes. Quote
Guest Robo Posted December 12, 2007 Report Posted December 12, 2007 You have a quick reply option? Eh? Quote
Reekie_Red Posted December 12, 2007 Report Posted December 12, 2007 That can be arranged. What smilies would you like? Quote
Superstar Tradesman Posted December 12, 2007 Author Report Posted December 12, 2007 Just the row that's displayed before you click on [more] should do it. Cheers! Quote
Guest Robo Posted December 12, 2007 Report Posted December 12, 2007 How are people getting better rights than me? Quote
Superstar Tradesman Posted December 12, 2007 Author Report Posted December 12, 2007 Simply by looks alone. Quote
Guest Robo Posted December 12, 2007 Report Posted December 12, 2007 Simply by looks alone. Pffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffft. Quote
Superstar Tradesman Posted December 12, 2007 Author Report Posted December 12, 2007 Took you ages to reply. You should try this Quick Reply thing, it's ace! (it's in your personal settings dude) Quote
Reekie_Red Posted December 14, 2007 Report Posted December 14, 2007 How does the new quick reply look? Quote
Guest Makaveli Posted December 14, 2007 Report Posted December 14, 2007 Vey good. Much quicker. Quote
Dandy_Don Posted December 14, 2007 Report Posted December 14, 2007 And our bandwidth > hahah :lolabove: Quote
Mackie's ace! Posted December 15, 2007 Report Posted December 15, 2007 Why, when you press quote, does it automatically take you to the quick reply? Quote
Reekie_Red Posted December 15, 2007 Report Posted December 15, 2007 It places the message you want to quote straight into the quickreply box. If yours doesnae work, then you might need to clear your cookies and temp i'net files Quote

Reekie_Red Posted December 15, 2007 Report Posted December 15, 2007 Hmmmm. Dunno. Don't really think there's much difference between the quick reply and the normal posting page these day, tbh! Basically you can do almost everything on the QuickReply that you can do on the full-on post page. Quote
Superstar Tradesman Posted December 17, 2007 Author Report Posted December 17, 2007 The quick reply box is a bit small for quoting people. Might be handier if you go into the full reply section when you click on the quote box? Quote
Reekie_Red Posted December 17, 2007 Report Posted December 17, 2007 I'll have a shot at expanding the size of it when I get home today. At work, I don't have access to any of the php files so can't alter anything Quote
Superstar Tradesman Posted December 17, 2007 Author Report Posted December 17, 2007 Nah the quick reply is fine and handy the size it is. It's just when you quote someone who's wrote a fair amount, it's rather difficult to keep a track of all the points they may have made without scrolling up and down. If you want to just quote small sections then there's the insert quote buttons you added the other day. Quote
