tad pissed off the BBC cant send someone on Ryanair out to Riga to at least do text updates and yet they can send an entire film crew and no doubt a full radio commentary team up to Reykjavik.

Only radio coverage is apparently 'updates on Radio Scotland news'

The Evening Express can today reveal anti-corruption watchdog FederBet found alleged suspicious activity in the Asian and Eastern European markets during last night’s 3-0 Europa League win over FK Daugava Riga.

On Saturday, it was revealed a dossier was being put together for a UEFA probe into the first leg at Pittodrie, which finished 5-0.

Again, the allegations today are not against the Dons in any way.

FederBet general secretary Francesco Baranca said: “We detected the activity around 20 minutes into the game.

“Before the match the odds were 1/1 (double your money) for more than 2.5 goals in the first half and for the handicap bet of Aberdeen to win the first half -2 goals (Dons to lead by three goals or more).

“At 20-minutes the odds collapsed again to 2/5 for the first half to have more than 2.5 goals in the Asian markets, from one known agency. In the Eastern European markets the handicap bet of Aberdeen to win the first half -2 goals went to 1/3.

“Again, the odds have gone against the mathematics. I can’t believe it’s happened again.”

A spokeswoman for UEFA said they will investigate when they receive the report.

EIGHT suspects have been identified in a match-fixing investigation into Aberdeen FC’s Europa League tie with FK Daugava Riga.

The Latvian club, who folded this year, were accused of rigging both legs, which saw the Dons win 8-0 on aggregate in their first round qualifier last summer.

As revealed by the Evening Express, two reports compiled by anti-corruption agency FederBet sparked a UEFA probe into the conduct of Daugava Riga.

The allegations do not involve the Dons in any way.

Two men, who were arrested accused of match-fixing, tax evasion and serious fraud, have now been released.

A spokesman for State Police of Latvia today said: “We have eight suspects. Two of them were arrested for a few months but now the court has released them under a police parole.

“A lot of work has already been done, but there’s still a lot to do.

“We have made several requests for mutual legal assistance to other countries.”

Daugava Riga did not receive the 120,000 euros for competing in the tie.

UEFA’s probe continues and authorities think millions of euros were gained by match-fixers in Latvia, resulting in hundreds of thousands of euros of tax evasion from the Asian betting markets.

It is understood match-fixing agencies in the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, China and Indonesia are involved.

A UEFA spokesman reiterated that there is no time limit on these cases.

The Dons did not wish to comment.

Remember this at the time, quite certain that we were never part of the investigations. Not sure how that team could have thrown it though, they were awful!

Could have been the 'fix' was for them to lose by 6 goals or more?

Or perhaps for a player to get sent off at a certain time?

I thought I read after the first leg that there was suspected betting irregularities and it was to do with them having a player sent off. Did they not end up with 2 being sent off over here??
