tom_widdows Posted July 28, 2014 Report Posted July 28, 2014 Any word on whether this is getting televised in any capacity? I doubt there will even be Radio Coverage given all BBC resources are seemingly being used for the Commonwealth games Quote
Tyrant Posted July 28, 2014 Report Posted July 28, 2014 It'll be on Premier Sport again. Anyone know if it's on anywhere in Inverness? Long shot but I'll be up there on Thursday night. Quote

Currently not showing on their schedule on the website and tab for "Aberdeen in Europe" is no longer there so not so sure they are going to show it. Quote

Dandy_Don Posted July 28, 2014 Report Posted July 28, 2014 That disappeared before the Groningen away game which was on that channel. They assumed we were getting knocked out... Quote
Jute Posted July 29, 2014 Report Posted July 29, 2014 Now confirmed as on Premier Sports. :ultras: Quote
Kowalski Posted July 30, 2014 Report Posted July 30, 2014 REAL Sociedad today confirmed star players Haris Seferovic and Carlos Vela will not play against Aberdeen FC tomorrow night. The La Liga outfit are set to host the Dons at the Anoeta stadium in their Europa League first-leg third-round qualifying tie. Switzerland international midfielder Seferovic has only just returned to San Sebastian following his exploits for the national side at the World Cup in Brazil this summer. Former Arsenal striker Vela is also absent from the 18-man squad as he continues his recovery from a heel injury. Real Sociedad squad to face Aberdeen FC: Zubikarai, Bardají, Zaldua, Mikel, Iñigo, De la Bella, Elustondo, Markel Bergara, Zurutuza, Gaztañaga, Networks, Barn, Brown, Xabi Prieto, Chory Castro, Hervías, Agirretxe, Finnbogason. I reckon Networks has good link-up play. Quote

Kowalski Posted July 31, 2014 Report Posted July 31, 2014 I quite fancy us tonight, Real Sociedad only recently returned to training and are bound to be a little rusty. [/kissofdeath] Quote
BigAl Posted July 31, 2014 Report Posted July 31, 2014 2-1 Us Doubled up with Rooney 1st goal scorer £2 stake returns £520. Quote
manc_don Posted July 31, 2014 Report Posted July 31, 2014 Well, that's your bet fucked. Can't say they haven't deserved it. We seem to be seeing a bit more of the ball now though. Quote

BigAl Posted July 31, 2014 Report Posted July 31, 2014 Two quick goals next Thursday and the Spaniards will fold Bring it on Quote
manc_don Posted July 31, 2014 Report Posted July 31, 2014 Clearly the better side, but I don't think Robson should have started that game. Still, the team can be proud of how they played today, the tie is not over. A packed pittodrie and anything can happen. They were clearly the better side tonight and that second goal was a peach. Shame about the offside decision. Quote
Edinburghdon Posted August 1, 2014 Report Posted August 1, 2014 Fuck them, the spell we had the ball in the 2nd half saw us looking dangerous, start like that on Thursday and it's game on. Quote
Edinburghdon Posted August 1, 2014 Report Posted August 1, 2014 And... One goal and they will shite themselves. Early goal and we are right in this tie Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted August 1, 2014 Report Posted August 1, 2014 They are easily the best team we'll play this year. Passed the ball around us at will and 2-0 was about right. Still in it, but we need to give them more to think about at Pittodrie. Russell Anderson was fantastic again. The guy is an absolute star. Quote

Possibly the best performance i've seen from him since his first stint with us. Still all to play for imo. Quote
BigAl Posted August 1, 2014 Report Posted August 1, 2014 Absolutely, what a performance. Possibly the best performance i've seen from him since his first stint with us. Oh how I wish he was ages with Reynolds. We'd be sorted in central defence for many a year to come. Quote
tlg1903 Posted August 1, 2014 Report Posted August 1, 2014 I'm glad we weren't humbled by them but I can't see us doing much against them at home. I'm at peace with that, I don't think we have the squad to play Thursday then Sunday for a few months without a massive adverse effect on domestic form. 6 European games is great experience for the squad and hopefully we will start the domestic campaign very strongly as a result. Also if the tims end up in the europa league we could really push them this season Quote
