BigAl
First tie is a cracker The Buckie lot are in for a culture shock going to Auchinleck Saw Huntly play there about five years ago with a full ground baying for blood. Despite Talbot winning 4-3, the referee required a police escort off the pitch at full time.

ally s
Depending on work/finances I may head along to the Linlithgow v Raith match, fancy Linlithgow to give them a very hard game.
Jute
Cracking wins for Spartans and Annan yesterday. Hurlford and Bo'ness United also getting credible draws against league opposition. Teams in 4th round draw are as follows: Premiership (12) Celtic Motherwell Aberdeen Dundee Utd Inverness St Johnstone Ross County St Mirren Kilmarnock Partick Dundee Hamilton Championship (7) Hearts Hibs Falkirk Queen of the South Raith Cowdenbeath Rangers SPFL1 (3) Morton / Airdrieonians [replay] Stranraer Brechin SPFL2 (4) Arbroath Annan Berwick Albion Rovers Highland League (1) Brora Lowland League (1) Spartans Plus winners of 3 remaining ties between Hurlford v Stirling Albion Elgin v Bo'ness United and East Stirlingshire v Dunfermline. Would love to see Dons drawn away to Brora as never been to game there. Same applies to Hurlford or Bo'ness United if they get through. Days out to Annan Berwick Spartans Stranraer or Queen of the South also appeal. Edit: Should have said draw is 2pm tomorrow live on Sky. tintin
Really hoping for Ross County v Brora.... Save your trip to the Dungeon for the 5th round
BigAl
Jute, you seriously don't want to go to Hurlford. Best described as a down market suburb of Kilmarnock
Jute
Some result for Spartans beating Morton 2-1 in 4th round.
manc_don
Dhims typically get a penalty that wasn't even a foul to make it 2-0, eventually beating hearts 4-0. SFA must be very pleased that their weekend has gone as smoothly as they hoped

ally s
I noticed Killie lying down to the filth today Kilmarnock were awful, really bad. After a bright start they seem to be sturggling badly at the minute, fuck them.
Jute
5th round draw. Queen of the South v St Johnstone Rangers v Raith Rovers Dundee v Celtic Hibernian v Arbroath Falkirk v Annan Athletic or Brechin City Stranraer or Dunfermline Athletic v Dundee United Partick Thistle v St Mirren or Inverness Caledonian Thistle Spartans v Berwick Rangers or Albion Rovers
Madbadteacher
A team desperately short of money (*M GBP I believe) gets a home tie. Lucky as I'm sure "them" v Raith will bring in more filthy lucre than Raith v "them" Please note, I'm not crying conspiracy here......I'm damn sure a tie v a Premiership(?) team would have brought in more, it's just good timing, and a good shot at getting to the next round. What with the game against the other arse-cheek coming up they may yet have enough money to survive another month.
Nellie The Don
There'll be at least 4 lower league teams in the quarter finals then. I wonder when last that happened.
manc_don
I see the SFA have made under 16 tickets £5 for the final. Excellent t move by them (for a change), hopefully there will be a decent turnout for it.
Tyrant
Glad to hear it. I'm fucking quick to criticise them but on this occasion they deserve a slight pat on the back for having some fucking common sense.
topcorner
Can't see there being more than 20k there.
Jute
Can't see there being more than 20k there. Do not think you will be far wrong. Caley could not even manage 10,000 for their first ever final last year so cannot see them taking much more than they did last year to Parkhead. Even allowing for all the sub humans who support (from their armchair/local pub) the Tims or Tribute Act that live in Falkirk suddenly supporting their local team they will not get much more than 10,000 either. tom_widdows
Can't see there being more than 20k there. I reckon there will be at least 35000 Highland Council were meant to be making arrangements for tickets to be given to local schools and other kids groups and I'm sure I heard talk of arrangements with local bus companies to offer discounted travel Megabuses and trains also on regular (not sunday) service along with many folk potentially making a weekend of it I'd say Inverness could muster up 15-18K (Ross County Managed approx 15K). Falkirk have no issues with transport and found 13k for their last final (against the evil hordes of Ibrox). The Neutral and Glory Hunter element will also come out for this one. The Missus and I will be going anyway ('Local' teams always get my backing) I could be very wrong but using Caley's League cup final crowd as the yardstick is almost like using the dons support at the 2000 Scottish Cup semi final as a judgement on the support's potential. 6:05pm kick off on a sunday = 6500 dons fans 2:30pm kick off on a sunday = 7000 Caley Fans
tom_widdows
See Caley Thistle players used their semi final win bonus to finance free coach travel and free under 14 tickets for the final. 24 coaches provided of which 18 are now sold out with 5 of the remaining almost sold out. ticket sales currently sitting about 26000 (not including neutrals) - About 15000 Falkirk, 11000 Caley Neutral section also down nearing sell out http://www.scottishfa.talent-sport.co.uk/PagesPublic/ProductBrowse/productHome.aspx?ProductSubType=CUP
manc_don
That is excellent news, was really hoping that there would be a decent turn out for this just to stick two fingers up to the nae sayers. Nice touch from the players too, not often you read that, especially in Scotland.
tom_widdows
Supposedly this is how ticket sales for Saturday's final stood as of yesterday Caley - Red Falkirk - Blue Neutral & sponsor sections - Yellow
Tyrant
Looks like a pretty healthy ticket uptake. I'm glad.
tlg1903
I'm going, Inverness is my home and has been a long time. I'm happy to go make the numbers as it were. I know quite a few ict fans and would be chuffed for them if they do it and it would be great for the highlands also so it doesn't feel too much of a chore. One time deal though.
