BobbyBiscuit Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 When they leave they will disappear. Of that there is no doubt only to re-appear at a lesser club than Aberdeen somewhere in Scotland. Swansea City most likely. Swansea's in Scotland?? Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 Swansea's in Scotland?? Of course. Quote
Ajja Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 The club's statements are at odds with that though Ajja. They seem to think it's (without interest payments) to be about break even. But why do we need to address the debt now? Milne has saw fit to ignore it for his entire tenure. Another fact that has to be borne in mind is the cost of replacing players like Hart, Diamond and Nicholson, especially Nicholson. Interest payments are still part of our outgoings. You can choose to park them as non-operating costs but they are still costs. I don't believe, having looked at the financials, that we are breaking even. We may be 'operating' at breakeven point but that is an accounting trick. I seem to recall our debt was gradually increasing up until Anderson's transfer and European income although I may be wrong. Kowalski Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 Don't shoot the messenger, and I can't reveal how I know all this but the source is a coach for Aberdeen and he's very good friends with a lad I know........... Hart, Nicholson, Clark, Severin and Lovell all leaving the club Diamond and langfield are signing new contracts Hart has apparently been offered more money by 3 other SPL clubs (Motherwell, Hibs and another) plus english clubs, he is going in Jan and our offer is the same as he is getting before no increase Surprised about Barry Nic tho, thought he would stay, we need to get players in!! Just going back to the original post. So far 4 out of 7 predictions correct, and 1 wrong. Others could go either way at the moment. Quote

At that point ZD was not signing his contract offer. It was subsequently increased so not really a correct prediction ? Quote
boboisared Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 Would say it was lucky, just don't think people are willing to accept the were wrong. Quote

Now if I insert a "y" on the end of the, this probably makes sense, if this isn't intended then frankly i haven't got a clue what this is supposed to say Quote

Guest Robo Posted January 17, 2008 Report Posted January 17, 2008 I reckon many people don't want to admit they were wrong. I was right with many of the predictions, Hart has signed a contract with someone else, so thats 5 ouf of 7...... I had it on good authority from day one that Zander would stay, it was just a case of upping the offer. Zander said himself he didn't want to go.....the offer was upped and he stayed. How was that luck? It was never set in stone that he was going to leave. 5 out of 7 so far ain't too bad........ I thank you. From revealling this back in December 13th, I'd say that isn't too bad at all. I still think Nicholson is on his way, and fuck knows what's happening with Severin, he's gone quiet. Quote
