manc_don Posted September 29, 2014 Report Posted September 29, 2014 Great opportunity to leapfrog septic into 4th place with this. Just need to keep tight and make sure we get the 3 points but the team seem to be gelling nicely, especially David Goodwillie and Rooney. Out Work Fives Flat 2-0, Goodwillie Quote
Tyrant Posted September 29, 2014 Report Posted September 29, 2014 If we play half as well in the final 3rd than we have against County and ICT we should win this one without too many problems. Definitely need to shore up the defence a bit. In. 3-0 Goodwillie. Quote
Jute Posted September 29, 2014 Report Posted September 29, 2014 Got to stick with 4-4-2 as we look a much better side going forward playing this way. Only change I would make from Saturday would to be replace Robson with Low. Out for this one as cannot get time off work. Quote

I'd agree with that, although from what I saw Robson didn't do too badly on Sat. I don't think it's a coincidence that we've seen an upturn in our fortunes since we've adopted the 4-4-2 system. Quote

Robson was done after about 50 minutes and was lucky ref never pulled him up for lunge on Caley number 16 as it would have been another yellow. Low give us more energy in the middle plus he was the legs to push forward with the ball which Robson no longer has. Quote
Madbadteacher Posted September 30, 2014 Report Posted September 30, 2014 Out At home, not working, ill. Online whilst watching rich-bastard's league game on TV Still at home Scrappy 1-0 Low Quote

Too soon for Robson to start again and better option on the bench tonight. Quote
Jute Posted September 30, 2014 Report Posted September 30, 2014 Piss poor result. Should be putting teams like that away. Quote
manc_don Posted September 30, 2014 Author Report Posted September 30, 2014 Agreed. Massive opportunity missed. Quote
Madbadteacher Posted September 30, 2014 Report Posted September 30, 2014 We are way too fucking soft and way too fucking profligate! I take it that it was a penalty? Quote
Tyrant Posted October 1, 2014 Report Posted October 1, 2014 Not me nor the two chaps that I was sitting with last night saw a handball so I'm not sure. But the fact is we created so many chances that we could've been 4-0 up at half time. By not being clinical enough we let them get back into it. Very poor result. And I can't really remember Aberdeen creating that many chances consistently for years and years. Tragedy that we never got all 3 points. We were the better side by many, many miles. Jim Goodwin is a dirty, dirty cunt. Quote
dandy Posted October 1, 2014 Report Posted October 1, 2014 Stonewaller I'm afraid. However the scorer of the first goal was at least 2 yards offside when the ball was delivered.Still should have been cleared though. Quote
tlg1903 Posted October 1, 2014 Report Posted October 1, 2014 Was it a clangers fuck up for the first? Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted October 1, 2014 Report Posted October 1, 2014 Was it a clangers fuck up for the first? Aye, slow off his line and indecisive - should have smothered the ball but let it run on and then was out of position. The cross should have been stopped by his colleagues, but he certainly compounded their frailties. Made a complete James Hunt of it for ICT's 2nd on Saturday too, but I don't think you're allowed to say that here. Quote
tlg1903 Posted October 1, 2014 Report Posted October 1, 2014 Yeah I thought he could have done better with the second on Sat too, was right in line with the ball. I really want Brown to get a chance to see if he's any better Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted October 1, 2014 Report Posted October 1, 2014 The one last night reminded me of one of the goals Leighton let in for Man Utd in the FA Cup Final in 1990 which led to him being dropped and all that followed that. Quote
