mizer Posted December 3, 2014 Report Posted December 3, 2014 Tomorrow will mark the 10th anniversary of Hicham Zeroualis tragic death in a car accident in Rabat. He signed for the dons in 1999 and only played 37 games and scored a mere 11 goals.......sticks in the mind though! Quote
Kowalski Posted December 3, 2014 Report Posted December 3, 2014 What a fucking tragedy. RIP Zero. I still remember his debut very well! Quote
mizer Posted December 3, 2014 Author Report Posted December 3, 2014 best goal omitted from the video above as it was in the cup Quote
manc_don Posted December 3, 2014 Report Posted December 3, 2014 Crazy to think its been 10 years. Didn't get to see him play that much, but what a player on his day. Quote
tlg1903 Posted December 4, 2014 Report Posted December 4, 2014 I had the perfect angle for the free kick at love street, right in line. RIP Hicham, I did love watching you play. Quote
Dandy_Don Posted December 4, 2014 Report Posted December 4, 2014 RIP Zero. Can't believe it's been 10 years. Quote
Tyrant Posted December 4, 2014 Report Posted December 4, 2014 RIP Zero. Can't believe it's been 10 years. Same. I remember being at Easter Road for the first Dons game since his death. Can't believe that was 10 years ago. RIP Quote
Jute Posted December 4, 2014 Report Posted December 4, 2014 Hicham was a joy to watch playing you could see he loved playing the game. Puddle celebration at Dens is probably thing that most sticks in my mind about him. RIP Zero. Quote
mizer Posted December 4, 2014 Author Report Posted December 4, 2014 My last memory was at Easter Road and he won a corner and somebody like Cato Gunveit picked up the ball to take it. He wasn’t happy and ran across to take it himself, we all were up giving it the big ZERO, ZERO, ZERO chants and doing the bowing action. After the skill to win the corner he kicks it straight out at the 18 yard box and we groan and sit down, the Hibs fans in the old East stand to a man are up on their feet now giving the big ZERO, ZERO, ZERO chants and doing the bowing action as he runs back down the line. Sums him up great skill but lack of concentration at times. Quote
scotfree Posted December 5, 2017 Report Posted December 5, 2017 Can't believe that's now 13 years since he died, and 15 years since he played for us. Quote
Reidzer 1314 Posted December 5, 2017 Report Posted December 5, 2017 RIP Zero. Have his autograph safely tucked away at home. Met him whilst he was bowling at Cadonas. Quote
SeeBass Posted December 6, 2017 Report Posted December 6, 2017 Am I dreaming or did he not break his leg at Fir Park?? Seem to remember it being a 1-0 win for us with an early Paul Sheerin penalty no??? Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted December 6, 2017 Report Posted December 6, 2017 Am I dreaming or did he not break his leg at Fir Park?? Seem to remember it being a 1-0 win for us with an early Paul Sheerin penalty no??? He did break his leg at Fir Park - bad tackle by Ged Brannan. Think it was 1-1 though, wouldn't have been Sheerin who scored as he wouldn't have played with Zerouali. Quote
SeeBass Posted December 6, 2017 Report Posted December 6, 2017 Bobby, I actually talked myself out of saying it was 1-1. Was it a Sunday afternoon game though?? Quote
