manc_don Posted February 6, 2015 Report Posted February 6, 2015 Obviously last weekend can be added to the games we will not speak of at the hateful venue. Hopefully the team can pick themselves up and get our season back on track. We've now not got any distractions so there are no excuses. County have made a number of signings during the window so it will be interesting to see if any of them make much of a difference. Out Flat Hopefully listening online Mates wedding 2-0 Dons, Goodwillie and Logan Quote
tlg1903 Posted February 6, 2015 Report Posted February 6, 2015 In Supporters bus/golf club Main Supporters bus then out on the town 3-0 rooney Who would stick McLean in from the start and, if so, who for? I would for the record and I would drop either pawlett or goodwillie Quote
Kowalski Posted February 6, 2015 Report Posted February 6, 2015 In Pub TBC RDS Lower Dinner with the wife 2-0 Dons, Rooney and Daniels Quote
Jute Posted February 6, 2015 Report Posted February 6, 2015 In Archies probably Y Archies or Pit 3-0 Dons Rooney Hatrick I agree with tlg that we should be sticking McLean in from the start. Goodwillie should be the one to drop to the bench so as we can play Rooney through the middle. Quote
Madbadteacher Posted February 6, 2015 Report Posted February 6, 2015 Out TV TV/online Housework 1-0 AFC Jack Quote
manc_don Posted February 6, 2015 Author Report Posted February 6, 2015 I'd agree with that, though it would mean i'd have to adjust my goal scorer I'm intrigued to see what McLean can do. Quote
scotfree Posted February 7, 2015 Report Posted February 7, 2015 I have a feeling that we're going to hammer County... Quote
Andrew Posted February 7, 2015 Report Posted February 7, 2015 In Pit South Probably pit 6-0 I will probably be out in town after. This time I will try harder with the females. Quote
manc_don Posted February 7, 2015 Author Report Posted February 7, 2015 Both peepaw and goodie drop to the bench for this one: Brown, Logan, Daniels, Reynolds, Considine, Jack, Smith, McGinn, McLean, Hayes, Rooney. Quote
Madbadteacher Posted February 7, 2015 Report Posted February 7, 2015 Hopefully that's a team full of goals, for us! Quote
tom_widdows Posted February 7, 2015 Report Posted February 7, 2015 I have a feeling that we're going to hammer County... Na our team never hammers anyone. They get a 3-0 lead and then sit back Quote
manc_don Posted February 7, 2015 Author Report Posted February 7, 2015 Na our team never hammers anyone. They get a 3-0 lead and then sit back Agreed, I don't think we'll ever hammer someone. Quote
tlg1903 Posted February 7, 2015 Report Posted February 7, 2015 Playing reasonably well, McLean has looked very handy and smith is taking his chance. Craig Thompson is a massive cunt Quote
Kowalski Posted February 7, 2015 Report Posted February 7, 2015 Just in. Poor, scrappy first half, helluva howler from their keeper for Rooney's goal. Craig Thompson is a prick. Blew for a foul to us when we were straight through, and denied a stonewaller when Logan was bundled over. Much better second half, more open. Pawlett and Goodwillie goals were well worked but what a peach from Logan!!! Quote
tlg1903 Posted February 7, 2015 Report Posted February 7, 2015 Agree with all that, was surprised Smith came off at ht as I thought he has a really good first half. Great team play and finish for the pawlett goal. This must be the first time dm has used all his subs by 65 minutes Quote
Madbadteacher Posted February 7, 2015 Report Posted February 7, 2015 Sounds like a job well, and professionally, done. Any word on the Daniels injury? Quote
BigAl Posted February 7, 2015 Report Posted February 7, 2015 Great result. Know it was bottom of league we were playing, but you've still got to do it How often this season have we failed to take our chances ? Our plus goal difference really should be so much better. Pleased to see a different starting eleven from McInnes, and even more to see the response from Pee Paw and Goodie. Also interesting to see a bench with a bit of experience. Curious as to whether Smith was injured and taken off as a precaution ? To those that were at the game, what was the view on Daniel's injury. Hope it isn't too serious, and fit for next week. In summary, exactly the reaction we needed today. Let's keep on getting results like this, let the Howkers fixtures pile up and keep asking questions of them COYR Quote
Jute Posted February 7, 2015 Report Posted February 7, 2015 As others have said 2nd half was a massive improvement on 1st. Was surprised Smith went off at half time as thought he was our best player however changes worked and some of football we played in 2nd half was brilliant. Only disappointment was it was only 4 in the end. If Craig Thomson is best ref in the country then God help us. Quote
manc_don Posted February 8, 2015 Author Report Posted February 8, 2015 Some of that play was a joy to watch! The final three goals were absolute beauts! Great reaction after last weekend, need to continue and start another run. Quote
Goldie03 Posted February 8, 2015 Report Posted February 8, 2015 Cheers for the highlights Al Maybe we should mix things up at Pittodrie and play that way more often in the 2nd half I suspect a lot of you on here will be the same but the matches I was planning to go to in March have all been changed for the tv arrgh Quote
manc_don Posted February 9, 2015 Author Report Posted February 9, 2015 4-0 not a hammering? Having watched the full highlights on RedTV, it was very convincing win. I've always thought 5 was a hammering, 4 is a pumping Some of the play was brilliant and what I did see of McLean, he looked tidy in possession and didn't give much away. Glad to hear Daniels injury isn't as bad as first thought. Quote
Tyrant Posted February 10, 2015 Report Posted February 10, 2015 We were more clinical. I was very pleased for Goodwillie and Pawlett getting on the score sheet. Their good play doesn't always reap the rewards that it probably deserves. Rooney is deadly. You can't spill the ball with him on the loose! Didn't see Logan's goal from the best of angles but it looked like the keeper should've done better with it also? Not that I'm complaining. If you don't buy a ticket you won't win the raffle. IMO my opinion a few of you are getting a wee bit carried away with young Cammy Smith's performance. I wasn't surprised to see him get hooked because I got the impression that he's not quite ready to be a 1st 11 pick. Not physically strong enough. Good player, don't get my wrong but I don't think he was great on Saturday. Another big game on Sunday. Let's do it again! Quote
