Jute Posted March 16, 2015 Author Report Posted March 16, 2015 Bit short notice given some will have booked travel but this defo works better for me Works in my favour as well. Game should never have been on a Monday of the international week anyway. Quote
manc_don Posted March 17, 2015 Report Posted March 17, 2015 Official club statement: http://www.afc.co.uk/news/5854.php#.VQgdFY6sV8E Following the short notice of the change to the date and time of this weekend's Dundee v Aberdeen match, Aberdeen FC fully understand the supporters frustrations with the situation. In the first instance, Aberdeen FC was disappointed that a popular match on the fixture calendar was moved to a Monday evening during an international week, given the possibility of player call ups. Given the Club's current position in the League it is essential that all our players are available and, following discussions with all parties, this would not have been the case if the fixture proceeded as planned on the Monday. The Club did investigate whether the game could have been rescheduled for a later date but with the league split happening next month, finding an alternative date would have been extremely challenging as we have seen with the Dundee versus Celtic game having to be moved. While we recognise supporters initially may have preferred the Saturday TV slot of 12.15, and more fans will now be able to go to the game, we also appreciate a number of supporters will be unable to attend the match and others will have had their weekend and travel plans disrupted. Any supporters who have bought a ticket for the Monday night and are now unable to attend will get a full refund. Please contact the Pittodrie ticket office directly to facilitate your refund. All tickets will be valid for those who can attend. Can't argue with that really. Quote

tlg1903 Posted March 21, 2015 Report Posted March 21, 2015 I officially hate Dundee more than Utd now Quote
Dandy_Don Posted March 21, 2015 Report Posted March 21, 2015 Agree they were shite in the second half. But really should have had a penalty and Dundee should have been down to 10 men. Quote
BigAl Posted March 21, 2015 Report Posted March 21, 2015 Tell you what guys, some fucker is going to get a doing from us given all the breaks we must be due. On the basis that refereeing decisions are supposed to even out, we must be due some fucking amount in our favour between now and end of the season. Putting that aside, just not good enough Aberdeen. Man for man we should have had more than enough to take care of Dundee today. Since the break in Tenerife our team has looked very lethargic. Quote
topcorner Posted March 21, 2015 Report Posted March 21, 2015 Since the break in Tenerife our team has looked very lethargic. I fucking knew that was going to happen Quote
scotfree Posted March 21, 2015 Report Posted March 21, 2015 In international cricket, you have 3 referrals against the umpire if you think he was wrong in his call. Do any of you think that could work with the football? Maybe not 3 referrals, but say one. Look at the last game of last season against Motherwell. Thoughts? Quote
Jute Posted March 22, 2015 Author Report Posted March 22, 2015 Thought draw was probably fair result in the end. We had plenty of ball in first half but most of the time were to ponderous once the ball arrived at Flood or Jack. McInnes has to realise we cannot play both Jack and Flood. Has to just be one of them i.e. Jack. Well taken goal by Rooney following great play by Driver. If he continues this sort of form we should be getting a contract extension on the table now. Second half was awful. Again baffling tactics as we seemed to settle for 1-0 win and have Ash Taylor aimlessly punting the ball to various Dundee players. Substitution of Driver was right as his legs were gone but for McInnes then to wait until 4 minutes from the end to make the next change was beyond belief. McLean Flood and Taylor especially could all have been hooked long before the end. Impressed with Bain again. Looks a decent keeper. Shame we never had one like him on our books..... Quote
rocket_scientist Posted March 22, 2015 Report Posted March 22, 2015 Clangfud should have been shot by now. Been got shot of, if the PC polis are around. Been liquidated from the payroll. Been ousted from AFC Plc. He's fucking shite. Always has been. Always will be. You can't be a half decent fitba team with a total cunt like him in goal. McInnes is a fucking wanker for not having identified this basic truth by now, two years into the job. You just can't compete with a total incompetent between the sticks. We have two completely useless bastards to choose between. Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted March 23, 2015 Report Posted March 23, 2015 Both Reynolds and Langfield were poor at the goal. Obviously an uncharacteristic mistake from Jack kicked it all off, but Reynolds was nowhere near tight enough to his man and Langfield's positioning and then feeble attempt at saving the shot really just isn't good enough. We were in the line of the ball behind the goal and it went right through Langfield. Crisp packet hands indeed. But McInnes is in a tight spot now - can he drop Langfield again and reinstate Brown whose confidence will also be rock bottom? Quote
scunnered999 Posted March 23, 2015 Report Posted March 23, 2015 Blame stops with Jack - no idea WTF he was thinking. If he had just let the ball go out we could have defended the throw and hopefully not shot ourselves in the foot (again)! Quote
tlg1903 Posted March 23, 2015 Report Posted March 23, 2015 Truth be told Reynolds is a player I've never been entirely convinced off. His pace gets him out of bother a lot of the time but without Anderson marshalling the back line he looks very average. Jack obviously fucked up but the shot was very saveable. We have finally sorted out lb, just a competent keeper in the summer would be a huge step forward and must be the priority. I knew in my bones when we drew 3-3 at home to Dundee that the writing was on the wall. We have since had our chances and fucked them. Still we have made huge progress this season, let's just hope that doesn't stall. Quote
manc_don Posted March 23, 2015 Report Posted March 23, 2015 Reynolds has been terrible this season compared to his usual high standards. I can forgive Jack but if we don't address the goalkeeper situation this summer, we'll never progress any further. Keeping errors have completely fucked us this season. Quote
