rocket_scientist Posted December 26, 2016 Report Posted December 26, 2016 Sorry rs. I found it boring and annoying As long as u enjoy it though...who cares Well well. Just proves that music taste is very individual. I thought it was brilliant, hugely positive and uplifting. So brilliant in fact, I could tolerate the Billy Connolly pronunciation of brilliant to describe. Hadn't heard it until 3 or 4 days ago. My daughter and I heard it on Radio 6 and it was her who said I really like this song. Me too I said. Quote

rocket_scientist Posted December 29, 2016 Report Posted December 29, 2016 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2u3Cg2oiess Coincidence. I played this song (video) to my daughters on Xmas night when we were having a YouTube music thrash. The late great Alex Harvey. Superb singer and fantastic performer. My fav song of his too. Quote
rocket_scientist Posted December 30, 2016 Report Posted December 30, 2016 Heard this on Radio 6 when driving home just now. Kwolity. Quote

rocket_scientist Posted February 8, 2017 Report Posted February 8, 2017 This was on the radio this morning - Hadn't heard it for almost 40 years. Magic band. Jocko Homo unforgettable. Their version of Satisfaction too. In the second half of the 70's the "yoof" got off their arse and didn't accept the established way of things. It wasn't just anarchy in the UK. It spread to a handful in America too. Devo beat that drum hard. Genius individualists. Quote
rocket_scientist Posted February 19, 2017 Report Posted February 19, 2017 Tom Waits documentary on BBC4. Tales from a cracked jukebox. He's one of my fav artists ever. Got into him with Swordfishtrombones a very long time ago. Quote

cupidstunt Posted February 25, 2017 Report Posted February 25, 2017 I've been trying to find out what all this hype around Stormzy is about. Some OK stuff, nothing Dizzee Rascal didnt do 10 years ago. Not exactly the ground breaking shit its all been claimed to be. Quote
rocket_scientist Posted February 25, 2017 Report Posted February 25, 2017 For any of you who like women, a present for you... I should re-phrase... for any of you who love women who are strong, independent and talented. So many of you beat your women. Domestic violence has always been and always will be. It's because you're weak men. Like muslims, you're scared of the power and strength of women and you're not man enough to a) get a good one, b) get it to love you and c) educate it to the benefits of cohabiting with mutual aspirations, give and take and compromise being essential for any successful interaction.
