Any one of four for me. Jack, Hayes, McGinn and Rooney are all very tight.

Had it been decided at Christmas, I'd have gone with Jack and Hayes but both their form has dropped a little in my opinion. McGinn has contributed massively with goals and assists and he's got to be in with a shout. Rooney gets my vote now though. Scoring against every league opponent is a massive achievement and he's contributed so much to the side in his workrate as well as his goals.

Genuine contenders all over the park though.

Hayes has been superb. McGinn has been very good a lot of the season without necessarily getting the plaudits at the time. Jack? Nah, been very good at times but just hasn't stepped up when a dominant centre midfielder should be stepping up.

But, if it's not Adam Rooney it's a disgrace.  The guy has been consistently brilliant. A terrific striker. The best we've had since big Dunc.

I'd agree with that, especially Rooney, it is incredibly impressive that we've got a player capable of doing so. Long may it continue, he deserves all the plaudits he gets

Probably followed by mcginn who has got better over the course of the season. It would have been Jonny but sadly for him he was rushed back from injury a bit earlier than he needed to be (for the right reasons IMO) and his subsequent form has suffered.

Jack has been great in spells, but again I wasn't convinced by his early season form, the home game against the dirty dhims sticks out the most.

Been the most entertaining season for decades and all the effort and skill demonstrated both onfield and off are obviously paying off...I find it almost churlish to pick anyone as collective effort is the winner.

But if push comes to shove I'll nominate Johnny Hayes , his good looks just help him edge it.

For me personally I would pick Rooney just ahead of Hayes and not just because of his scoring record this season.

Also because of the way he worked his socks off when he was required to play on the RHS of a 5 man midfield when Goodwillie was in the team with only 1 upfront. He still always gave 100% and worked tirelessly for the team.

I know Hayes has also been moved to LB & CM this season but Rooney still shades it for me.
