Tubilay Posted April 15, 2015 Report Posted April 15, 2015 I'm quite surprised that the TV companies wanted the Celtic game so far in. If they keep winning, and we drop any points between now and then, they'll have won the league already, making it something of a dead rubber. Quote

Agreed, you'd have thought they'd want to maximise their viewing audience. I really don't want to see those pricks win it at our place, which is probably want those fuckers want. Quote

Put it in as the first game, Celtic win, they then have 4 rounds of matches where there's nothing to play for, so they'd have potentially more dead rubbers than your scenario there. Quote

Surely the only input to the fixtures that the TV companies would have is look at the draft list and decide which games they'd like to televise and thus move to Sunday (or Friday or Monday etc.)? I'd like to think that they have no sway in organising the fairest distribution of fixtures in our league. Quote
manc_don Posted April 16, 2015 Author Report Posted April 16, 2015 Celtic's 4-1 win over Kilmarnock has set up a potential Pittodrie title party. If both Celtic and Aberdeen win their next two games, victory for the Hoops in the north east would clinch the Premiership trophy. Best make sure we beat them then Quote
