mizer Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 Aberdeen loan signings Alan Maybury and Josh Walker are in line to make their debuts against Hamilton at Pittodrie. Jamie Smith, Sone Aluko, Richie Byrne, Karim Touzani are sidelined for the Dons, while Stuart Duff is ineligible. Hamilton's new signings, Andrew Waterworth and James Grady, could make their debuts for the Division One side. Simon Mensing is almost certain to return to a side that will be missing skipper Alex Neil and defender Chris Swailes through suspension. glasgow sheep Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 Quite fancied this one but the logistics of getting north this weekend just weren't going to fall into place. Should be a comfortable win and a much need confidence prior to Tue night Quote
Madbadteacher Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 I canna get to the main road, so no way could I have gone. What's the weather like in Aberdeen, no likelyhood of a postponement? Quote
glasgow sheep Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 game definitely on and no pitch inspection according to redweb. Looks ok too: Quote
Holyjoe Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 Hmm, I'm a wee bit worried about this one... hope we get it out the way at the first attempt. Quote
Kowalski Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 Weather in Aberdeen fine, but cold. Quote
Millers Tache Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 Hmm, I'm a wee bit worried about this one... hope we get it out the way at the first attempt. I think we'll be fine, but i've been thinking about the example of Denmark in Euro 92. Knocked out in the qualifiers, they were on the beach when Yugoslavia were booted out. Not being under any pressure whatsoever, they won the whole competition... Hamilton won't win the cup, but they've already been knocked out and have absolutely nothing to lose (moreso than would normally be the case) today. Quote
Montana Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 Is the draw today? Good Question ! The SFA site is shocking http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/cup_competitions.cfm?curpageid=1352 Cannae find anything on there - really is an amateur effort.. Quote
Mackie's ace! Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 Langfield, Duff, Diamond, Considine, Foster, Nicholson, Severin, de Visscher, Mackie, Miller, Walker. Maybury, Young on bench. Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 Langfield, Consi, Zander, DeVischer, Seve, Barry, Mackie, Duff, Miller, Walker, and one other! McNamara drops out totally and Young and Maybury on the bench. Quote

Edinburghdon Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 did someone mention Jackie mac carrying a slight knock midweek? or has he just been dropped? Hamilton's boss has just said he's disappointed with the state of the pitch! Quote
Mackie's ace! Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 Not sure about Jackie Mac. I heard that too - what a joke, does he want to play at Fir Park instead?! Quote

Edinburghdon Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 I'd still bet that its a hell of a lot better than Hamilton's pitch just now! Quote

Edinburghdon Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 Ahh sorry didnt read the plastic pitch comment! Quote
Mackie's ace! Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 Lets not kid ourselves, it isn't very good. I'm sure it's not great, but at least it's playable, unlike a number of pitches around the country. Peterhead game been called off. Quote

Peterhead game been called off. All I meant was that there is nothing wrong with complaining about the standard of a premier league pitch, they are (by and large) shite, Fir Park being the crowning turd on the pile. Pittodrie's, despite being completely renewed not long ago ain't great. Quote
glasgow sheep Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 looks like a reasonable crowd in. any word on how we are doing? Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 Shite. And the odds of a "reasonable crowd" at Pittodrie are pretty low mate. Moaning faced Aberdonian cunts. Quote
