Slim Posted February 4, 2008 Report Posted February 4, 2008 Looked on Redweb and the SFL site and couldn't see anything, anyone know when it's due to be played if we beat Utd? Got a trip I need to plan for early March and don't want to potentially miss it. Quote

Superstar Tradesman Posted February 5, 2008 Report Posted February 5, 2008 Yeah think it was a Sunday. Remember getting off the bus at home, walking into the pub after a magic day bathing in a sea of red and the place being empty. What a come down.... Quote
TheChimp Posted February 5, 2008 Report Posted February 5, 2008 It's been Sunday from the year dot as far as I know. Even remember the 3 finals against Rangers in the late 80's being on Sundays. Quote

DON 71 Posted February 5, 2008 Report Posted February 5, 2008 It was a Sunday when we beat Hibs 3-0 in October, 1985. As I remember going as a kid and missing the final episode of Stookie on STV on the Sunday. If memory serves me right it was also the day after the actor who played Wayne in Auf Wiedhersen Pet (Gary Holden I think) was found dead. Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted February 5, 2008 Report Posted February 5, 2008 Thought it was a heroin overdose!? Quote

CtS Posted February 5, 2008 Report Posted February 5, 2008 From what I know of the guy, he sounds like a Hibbee! I love it when people inject a bit of humour into a thread. It's really cheered me up, a shot in the arm, so to speak. Quote

Superstar Tradesman Posted February 5, 2008 Report Posted February 5, 2008 did he not set fire to himself? He was an arsonist on the show so you might have your firewires crossed. Quote

DON 71 Posted February 5, 2008 Report Posted February 5, 2008 " Holton was found dead by his girlfriend Janet Mclllewan in his bed on 25 October 1985. He had died from an overdose of alcohol and morphine, as well as traces of diazepam and cannabis. Pathologist Dr Rufus Crompton said during his coronery at Hornesy, North London, that he would have been drinking less than half-an-hour before his death, and that the morphine would have made him unconscious within a matter of minutes " Quote
