BobbyBiscuit
You're working this out as you go along, aren't you? First you advocated minimum stadia requirements. Now you're demanding must play at home. I don't see what harm there is in switching venues when quite obviously nobody on the planet has any objection? Apart from you. Bloody hell. This puts me neither up nor down, I put it out there as a talking point, as believe it or not this board needs a bit more chat on it, ye know? tom_widdows
Usual Bullshit from scottish football 1995 - Huntly 1-3 Dundee United (Played at Christie Park, Huntly) 1996 - Keith 1-10 Sevco (Played at Pittodrie because Kynoch Park was deemed unsuitable) 1996 - Whitehill Welfare 0-3 Celtic (Played at Easter Road because Ferguson Park was deemed unsuitable) 1996 - Inverness CT 0-3 Sevco (Played at Tanndice because Telford Street Park was deemed unsuitable) This is up there with the pathetic 6000 (formerly 10000) seat rule for premier stadiums (a rule purely to satisfy the marauding hordes)

Pretty sure he can speak for himself but that would be a very foolish thing to attribute to him.
manc_don
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/35402932 East Kilbride v Celtic: Hamilton rule out hosting Scottish Cup tie Hamilton Academical have told the Scottish FA they are unable to host the Scottish Cup fifth-round tie between East Kilbride and Celtic on 7 February. Lowland League club East Kilbride had been told by the governing body that it would have to be played at New Douglas Park as their K Park was not suitable. It said rules dictated that it take place at the nearest suitable stadium. But Premiership club Accies now say they already have a full programme of events planned for their home pitch. "It has recently been reported that we will be hosting the William Hill Scottish Cup fifth-round fixture between East Kilbride and Celtic on Sunday 7 February," they said in a club website statement. "We have a full programme of academy, youth and community events already planned for that weekend and have no intention of altering our club programme and, as a result, will not be in a position to make New Douglas Park available to stage the tie." East Kilbride secured the biggest game in their history by beating Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale 2-0 on Wednesday. The SFA announced immediately after the game that the tie would be played at New Douglas Park. However, East Kilbride pointed out that it had been their seventh choice of venue. They had sent a list to the SFA containing seven possible venues to face the Scottish champions, with their own K Park at the top despite it having a capacity of only around 500. The SFA later issued a statement clarifying its decision and pointing out that section 13 of the competition's rules stated that, if a club's home ground was unsuitable, a tie would be played at the nearest registered venue. East Kilbride had also suggested the national stadium at Hampden Park in Glasgow, Celtic Park, Broadwood Stadium in Cumbernauld, Airdrieonians' Excelsior Stadium and Partick Thistle's Firhill Stadium in preference to Hamilton's ground. A Hamilton spokesman said they had been sounded at as potential hosts prior to East Kilbride's fourth-round tie, but no subsequent conversation took place ahead of the SFA announcement of the venue. Nobody the SFA or East Kilbride was available for comment following Accies' website statement. A Celtic spokesman said: "As the away team, we have had no part to play in this. "But, clearly from the perspective of Celtic and our supporters, it is essential that this matter is sorted out as quickly as possible by the SFA and as many fans as possible are able to attend the match." rocket_scientist
Imagine those foolish nothings telling EK it would be played at a venue and they hadn't even contacted the host club? You can't make up these levels of incompetence. It's incredible.

manc_don
Well the west coast media and SFA have their wank fest as a semi instead of a possible final. Hibs / Caley vs Arabs.

Well they couldn't risk a) One of them not making the final therefore having to wait until next season to make up for their let down last season b) Having a 3rd successive Scottish cup final without one of Glasgow horde Think they are really starting to shit at the prospect none of the 3 main Scottish trophies ending up in Glasgow this season

manc_don
One thing is for sure. Football won't win. It's probably a good thing for us actually. The Weegia will be completely obsessed and distracted by this, hopefully take some of the heat off of us.

tom_widdows
Have to say I do not see the hype around Jason Cummings. Seems to panic in big matches Did enjoy stokes goal being missed by a large chunk of the blue hordes as they decided to set off flares in the west stand about 10 seconds before. All happy and then wondering why there was a sudden roar from the other end
Jute
Hibs win then fans fuck it up by invading pitch. Hope the fuckers get hammered. Edit now Tribute fans on as well and there's fighting.
tom_widdows
Could see the pitch invasion was going to happen as soon as the goal went in. The hibs fans had all piled forward to the front row of the stands. Think that's the only reason the police cordone line was established so quick. I'm sticking well clear of the city centre til tomorrow
BigAl
Well that ought to confirm I will never in my lifetime be able to enjoy a pint at a football match again.
