manc_don Posted June 18, 2016 Report Posted June 18, 2016 Ireland pumped 3-0 by Belgium who finally clicked. Even lukaku scored two goals! Quote
Jute Posted June 18, 2016 Report Posted June 18, 2016 Iceland and Hungray drawing today means Hungary almost guaranteed making the next stage. Quote
Jute Posted June 19, 2016 Report Posted June 19, 2016 Romania become first team to head home after defeat from Albania. Quote
manc_don Posted June 20, 2016 Report Posted June 20, 2016 France almost scored one of the best goals of the year but payet hit the bar. Decent enough Watch. Quote
Kowalski Posted June 20, 2016 Report Posted June 20, 2016 France almost scored one of the best goals of the year but payet hit the bar. Decent enough Watch. That would have been an outstanding goal! I feel the tournament is struggling a little bit now. Number of dull games the number of decent games IMHO. Quote
mini59dons Posted June 20, 2016 Report Posted June 20, 2016 What, ever? Can anyone confirm or repute this? Depends if we are classing the African Cup of Nations as a Major tournament? Zero scored in Jan 2002 (Against Burkina Faso) and left Pittodrie in July that year. Quote
Jute Posted June 20, 2016 Report Posted June 20, 2016 Wales top group and the winners elect only finish 2nd. Think Slovakia should be alright for one of best 3rd place gigs. Quote
manc_don Posted June 21, 2016 Report Posted June 21, 2016 England is going into meltdown about hodgson making changes yesterday especially since they wanted to top the group. Especially removing arguably the best player in the side this tournament, rooney. Wales were thoroughly deserving of the 3 points, such togetherness, unity and players and management knowing what they're doing. Well worked goals too. Quote
rocket_scientist Posted June 21, 2016 Report Posted June 21, 2016 Wales were fantastic last night, one of the most accomplished international performances we have ever seen. It was beautiful to watch, football played with great skill at high tempo and slick in every department. This is all made possible by team spirit. Bale is the obvious superstar but they have stars all over the pitch this tournament and its most definitely NOT the Gareth show. Congratulations to them and to the management team in particular. Chris Coleman has been the right man for the right time and has done a phenomenal job. Quote
manc_don Posted June 21, 2016 Report Posted June 21, 2016 Croatia deservedly beat Spain, quick move for the second goal. Turkey beating the czechs mean them and the norn Irish qualify! Quote
tom_widdows Posted June 21, 2016 Author Report Posted June 21, 2016 Personally hoping for an Belgium, Italy, Iceland & Hungary clean sweep tomorrow Albania would qualify for the next round and Ronaldo, Ibrahimovic & McGeady would fuck off home Quote
Jute Posted June 22, 2016 Report Posted June 22, 2016 As an aside from his performance last night it looks like we missed a trick in not securing McGovern from Hamilton. Quote
manc_don Posted June 22, 2016 Report Posted June 22, 2016 As an aside from his performance last night it looks like we missed a trick in not securing McGovern from Hamilton. Was thinking the same. Hopefully he'll go to a better team than the hunnery. Quote
rocket_scientist Posted June 22, 2016 Report Posted June 22, 2016 Staggering performance and thoroughly deserved win for Ireland. Wales, Croatia and this have been beautiful consecutive performances. Awesome. Quote
Jute Posted June 22, 2016 Report Posted June 22, 2016 Staggering performance and thoroughly deserved win for Ireland. Wales, Croatia and this have been beautiful consecutive performances. Awesome. Croatia have been most impressive team so far. Draw has opened up for them to make a run to final. Quote
rocket_scientist Posted June 22, 2016 Report Posted June 22, 2016 Croatia have been most impressive team so far. Draw has opened up for them to make a run to final. Yes, the draw has been freaky this year and it would be a shock if Croatia didn't get to the final. It's not like Wales or Ireland or Northern Ireland or the other home nation have got a chance. Shaping up to be a brilliant event. Germany is my money. Despite a slow start. Quote
rocket_scientist Posted June 27, 2016 Report Posted June 27, 2016 Brilliant first half hour by Italy. Deserved lead. Quote
Madbadteacher Posted June 27, 2016 Report Posted June 27, 2016 Could easily be ahead by more than one as well. Quote
rocket_scientist Posted June 27, 2016 Report Posted June 27, 2016 Could easily be ahead by more than one as well. Yes, but for De Gea. Quote
BigAl Posted June 27, 2016 Report Posted June 27, 2016 2-0 in the end, well done Italy Real team spirit about the Italians. Thoroughly deserved victory over Spain Would appear that the Spaniards now enter a period of rebuilding, as their glory days appear to be fading Quote
rocket_scientist Posted June 27, 2016 Report Posted June 27, 2016 Hart's reactions are ten times slower than De Gea's. His "bravery" for the 1st was Clangfieldesque. His slowness for the 2nd hilarious. Quote
rocket_scientist Posted June 27, 2016 Report Posted June 27, 2016 Hodgson the only man with a coherent plan to leave Europe. Tweeted just now apparently Quote
BigAl Posted June 27, 2016 Report Posted June 27, 2016 Go on Iceland. Took them @ ,9/1 about 30 seconds before kick off. Quote
