manc_don
According to today's EE: THE Dons have taken young Manchester City keeper Nicholas Pistol on trial. Pistol, a product of the English Premier side’s prestigious Soccer Academy, made his debut for the Dons Under-20 side as they beat Highland League side Forres Mechanics 1-0 in a friendly at Mossett Park. The Dons are keen to sign another keeper for their U20 squad because Robbie Mutch faces a lengthy spell out after damaging a kidney in training. Back-up keeper David Craddock is also injured. The Dons also played teenage centre-back Harlaine Mbayo, who has previously been with Orient and Peterborough United, at Forres in what was home defender Graeme Grant’s testimonial match. Aaron Norris netted the only goal for the Dons.
