Reidzer 1314 Posted June 15, 2016 Report Posted June 15, 2016 There was a few Twitter posts that Lewis was a done deal and was going to be announced yesterday but nothing from the club yet. Quote
Reidzer 1314 Posted June 15, 2016 Report Posted June 15, 2016 SunSport linking Willo Flood with a move to Dundee Utd. Quote
manc_don Posted June 15, 2016 Author Report Posted June 15, 2016 SunSport linking Willo Flood with a move to Dundee Utd. They're also saying we're landing Callum Morris Quote
RicoS321 Posted June 15, 2016 Report Posted June 15, 2016 SunSport linking Willo Flood with a move to Dundee Utd. I think that'd be a good move for both parties. I'd hope Storie would be our back-up midfield option next season with another two coming in to replace Robson and Flood. Although I wouldn't complain if it was just one very good one. Quote
manc_don Posted June 15, 2016 Author Report Posted June 15, 2016 Arabs appear to be having a field day. The physios must be getting lonely, this guy is made of glass. Quote
BigAl Posted June 15, 2016 Report Posted June 15, 2016 Can't say this one excites me, but guess it doesn't make us any weaker a team for it UNLESS he is taking up a wage of someone else we could have signed. Quote

Have you seen how many games he's played since signing for the Arabs?!? 38 in two years...Achilles and knee injuries, this seems like a pointless signing given our luck with crocked players. Quote
baggy89 Posted June 15, 2016 Report Posted June 15, 2016 No idea who he is. Signing defenders from relegated teams is never a good idea. Signing defenders with two relegation's on their CV is a fucking awful idea. Quote
BigAl Posted June 15, 2016 Report Posted June 15, 2016 Hence the one year deal Manc. Can't imagine he is on a high wage and patently signed as back up. Sure we all agree in hoping he proves himself and makes us eat our words. Quote
ayrshire_don74 Posted June 15, 2016 Report Posted June 15, 2016 A fucking shitehouse of a signing, this it this the board backing Derek Quote
Reidzer 1314 Posted June 15, 2016 Report Posted June 15, 2016 I would hate to be working in the AFC ticket office this morning, I am sure calls for season tickets are through the roof after they announced this inspiring signing... Quote
Jute Posted June 15, 2016 Report Posted June 15, 2016 Signing defenders from relegated teams is never a good idea. Signing defenders with two relegation's on their CV is a fucking awful idea. This. Also never a good idea signing a player with his history of injuries. Very odd signing. Quote
Edinburghdon Posted June 15, 2016 Report Posted June 15, 2016 I can only assume he's been brought in as a back up with the view to saving a larger slice of the budget on a quality centre half to come in as a started. If that is the case then fine, worrying if it's not though. I guess the fact he can play at right back too isn't a disaster, we don't really have a back up right back just now. Fingers crossed it works out better than expected. Quote
RicoS321 Posted June 15, 2016 Report Posted June 15, 2016 This is all a bit Stuart Duff. I suppose it replaces Quinn and Rose on that side of the defence, although I'd have hoped that Taylor would be cover for an actual defender. Obviously I have no recollection of the guy actually playing, I'm only assuming he's pish. Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted June 15, 2016 Report Posted June 15, 2016 A really lazy signing in my view. Even as a backup, there must be better we could have signed. Quote
manc_don Posted June 15, 2016 Author Report Posted June 15, 2016 At least we know who'll be no. 1 now! Quote
dandy Posted June 15, 2016 Report Posted June 15, 2016 Schoolboy error or a cunning red herring? No it's an error! Quote
manc_don Posted June 15, 2016 Author Report Posted June 15, 2016 Neil Alexander signing as well according to record sport! Quote
BigAl Posted June 15, 2016 Report Posted June 15, 2016 Heard this earlier but wasn't confirmed. Could Alexander double up as goalkeeping coach and punt Marshall ? Quote
Edinburghdon Posted June 15, 2016 Report Posted June 15, 2016 That's Lewis signed now, 2 year deal http://www.afc.co.uk/news/8006.php#.V2GRHZB4WK0 Quote
Edinburghdon Posted June 15, 2016 Report Posted June 15, 2016 Both Ally Begg and Tyrone Smith are reporting Alexander has signed a 1 year deal too. Assume that would mean he's back up to Lewis and Rogers is going back out on loan for the season. Quote

Edinburghdon Posted June 15, 2016 Report Posted June 15, 2016 And Lennox? guessing he's right at the back of the queue and will only be used in emergencies? Quote

Assume that would mean he's back up to Lewis and Rogers is going back out on loan for the season. The thing with Rodgers is where does he go ? Does he go back to Falkirk ? Not sure what that would achieve as he has already proved he can play at that level. Could a SPL team fancy taking him on loan ? Quote
