Reidzer 1314 Posted May 17, 2016 Report Posted May 17, 2016 Miles Storey - Done deal! http://www.afc.co.uk/news/7897.php#.VzsBy_mLSJA Quote
Edinburghdon Posted May 17, 2016 Report Posted May 17, 2016 get the lad from dunfy bought we dont need another clumpy big striker I don't think Storey is a clumpy big striker... Good to see McInnes is quietly and quickly getting another deal done, not 100% convinced about Storey but hopefully McInnes has seen a player in there and gets him consistently playing to his potential. Welcome aboard! Now for Milne to open the chequebook for Stewart, McGinn, a defender and keeper (admittedly that's wildly unrealistic). Quote
Madbadteacher Posted May 17, 2016 Report Posted May 17, 2016 OK, know nothing about the lad other than what I read on here and P&B, so I don't know if it's a good move or not. But, FFS buy a goalie and some central defenders too please! Quote
Edinburghdon Posted May 17, 2016 Report Posted May 17, 2016 Cheesy dance music compilation of Storeys goals for Caley Quote
BigAl Posted May 17, 2016 Report Posted May 17, 2016 But, FFS buy a goalie and some central defenders too please! I doubt we will be buying a keeper. Rogers signed up, Lennox given new one year deal and told he is part of first team squad next season, so unless we put Lennox out, I'd very much doubt that we had three keepers in first team squad P.S Welcome on board to young Storey Quote
ayrshire_don74 Posted May 17, 2016 Report Posted May 17, 2016 had storey confused with someone else more mobile than i thought, should still sign the lad from dunfy Quote
RicoS321 Posted May 17, 2016 Report Posted May 17, 2016 Ah well, happy to be proved wrong! I thought he was pish, but then I don't see him every week. Very similar to Church I thought, but perhaps marginally quicker, but a decent return and good backup. Can't see a future for Shankland now, he will surely be gone. As ED says, good that we're going about our business in a quiet, efficient manner. Hope to fuck we're getting a keeper though, Rogers doesn't look good enough and Lennox certainly isn't good enough to provide him competition. I'm not sure what the deal is with re-signing Lennox, I'm hoping that it's an uber-precaution in case we don't get our preferred number one choice in time for Europe or the start of the season (McGovern would be at Euros for example). manc_don Posted May 18, 2016 Report Posted May 18, 2016 Welcome aboard, still can't say I know much about him but hopefully the manager and team know what they're doing Well done for another bit of early business. Keeper, 2 x CB and a no nonsense midfielder please Quote

manc_don Posted September 27, 2016 Report Posted September 27, 2016 So what is the deal with him? Why isn't he getting any game time whatsoever at the moment? Was quite excited about him signing for us but doesn't seem to have been given a chance at all? Decent finish against caley for the u-20's yesterday. Quote
RicoS321 Posted September 27, 2016 Report Posted September 27, 2016 I don't think he's very good at actual football. Which is a problem. Quick and strong though. Quote

I've not seen enough of him to even know. But would have thought that would still be useful enough. Seems to know where the goal is which is a start! Quote
LA-Don Posted September 28, 2016 Report Posted September 28, 2016 Signing both him and Wes Burns was pointless. One or the other and use the money for a desperately needed holding mid, and then our left back can play at left back. Quote
manc_don Posted September 28, 2016 Report Posted September 28, 2016 Signing both him and Wes Burns was pointless. One or the other and use the money for a desperately needed holding mid, and then our left back can play at left back. Very true. I guess it all links back to your squad thread, it's imbalanced and unnecessarily so. Hopefully he'll try to address that in jan Quote
Jute Posted September 28, 2016 Report Posted September 28, 2016 Think Storey is victim of fact we rarely play with 2 up top under McInnes. He is not as good a finisher as Rooney or as physical as Stockley so is unlikely to get the nod to be the lone striker. Does at least give us cover if either get injured. Quote
