This coefficient thing really needs looked at

You dont qualify for europe for 3 seasons one of which you were relegated from your countries top division yet you get an easier go of it from teams who have qualified for the last 2 seasons?

Motherwell are currently the second highest ranking scottish team  :hammer:

It is a complete joke. Especially given that out all the Scottish teams bar Celtic, we've progressed the furthest in recent time.  I'm just hoping for an easy ride in the first round (and ideally beyond), the second round holds some big teams.

Out of curiousity, did SS Motherwell qualify for the last ever second champions league spot?  Is that why their coefficient is higher?

So with the announcement going to be made on Monday, who is everybody hoping we get / avoid?

Agree with mbt, somewhere close would be beneficial for the first round at least.

Would want to avoid any of the long trips for obvious reasons. Cliftonville as they have a plastic pitch which is allegedly shite and MTK Budapest, who look in a false position, would be the other two I would like to avoid in the first round. One of the Welsh teams or the team from Gibraltar would be preferred options to draw.

I'd go with that. Any of these will do for me.

From the P&J:

Fola Esch (Luxembourg)

Formed: 1906

Ground: Stade Emile Mayrisch (3,900 capacity)

Manager: Cyril Serredszum

The Luxeumbourg National Division champions, who play in red and white stripes, is one of the lowest ranked teams in the first qualifying round and the one the Dons will be hoping to be paired with. This will be their fourth campaign in Europe in the club’s history but their third in a row. They lost to GNK Dinamo in the second qualifying round of the Uefa Champions League last year.

Fola Esch reached 2nd qualifying round of Champions League last season

To clarify that, apparently they entered at the 2nd round and immediately got knocked out

Has there been any news about TV coverage for this tie?

I can hardly think there will be much demand for it.

If Aberdeen fans don't give a fuck about it - and I don't let alone the missing thousands - then who else is going to give a fuck? Competing with clubs we've never heard of from a country that lives in a shoe is the depths to which Milne has mismanaged us.
