LA-Don Posted July 17, 2016 Report Posted July 17, 2016 So is this boy now on trial with us? Does anyone know if he's actually coming? I don't understand all the negativity surrounding him on other fan sites. He's desperate to play in Britain and he/his agent appear to be doing their best to get a trial. What have we got to lose? If he's another Victor Wanyama I'm sure we'd be happy and if he's shit no harm done. Quote
manc_don Posted July 17, 2016 Report Posted July 17, 2016 Club have been very coy on it all and probably rightly so. Been away, has there been any development on this? I currently feel it sounds like a catongo situation. Quote

manc_don Posted July 18, 2016 Report Posted July 18, 2016 Will be interesting to see what comes of this then. Seems like a completely bizarre one and has potential to blow up in our faces. Just hope he's not the only midfielder we're looking at (which I very much doubt). Quote
Reidzer 1314 Posted July 18, 2016 Report Posted July 18, 2016 I hope something comes of this rumours this time. The lad seems to very highly rated back in Kenya so fingers crossed. Quote

Reidzer 1314 Posted July 19, 2016 Report Posted July 19, 2016 Looks like this lad will arrive on Thursday, start training on Friday and possibly play in a friendly over the weekend. Quote

LA-Don Posted July 19, 2016 Author Report Posted July 19, 2016 Apparently he's more of a Yaya Toure than a Wanyama! Would be nice to get a break here and scoop up a solid freebie player! Quote
BigAl Posted July 20, 2016 Report Posted July 20, 2016 This will one of two ways. Either we've unearthed a gem here or......... Know which one my money is on unfortunately Quote
Reidzer 1314 Posted July 20, 2016 Report Posted July 20, 2016 The other possibility is that now he is here he could also have other clubs trying to tap him up so to speak. Quote
manc_don Posted July 20, 2016 Report Posted July 20, 2016 Would be ace if we unearthed a cheeky gem. Quote
RicoS321 Posted July 20, 2016 Report Posted July 20, 2016 The other possibility is that now he is here he could also have other clubs trying to tap him up so to speak. This. The noises his agent was making before he came across here were worrying. If we offer him a deal, I'd expect his agent to be whooring him out all over the shop on that basis. Quote
Reidzer 1314 Posted July 21, 2016 Report Posted July 21, 2016 Definitely on the way it seems. https://twitter.com/bedjosessien/status/755964168969318400?lang=en Quote
RicoS321 Posted July 21, 2016 Report Posted July 21, 2016 That youtube video is class. We have to sign him now like, he'd look ridiculous if we didn't. Quote
RicoS321 Posted July 22, 2016 Report Posted July 22, 2016 Yasss, classic. http://www.mediamaxnetwork.co.ke/people-daily/237206/gor-make-kill-aucho-impresses-aberdeen/ Quote
BigAl Posted July 23, 2016 Report Posted July 23, 2016 Made his debut as a second half substitute in a 4-1 victory over Arbroath this afternoon. Goals from Shockley x 2 Store and Peepaw. Good to see all our new forwards getting amongst the goals. Peepaw got himself sent off for retaliation in the second half. Quote

manc_don Posted July 24, 2016 Report Posted July 24, 2016 Nae idea mate. I wasn't there. Just read all of the details on the EE website. A few folk on the fezbook page seem to think he was decent. Time will tell I guess! Have a feeling Reidzer might be right in the end... Quote
manc_don Posted July 24, 2016 Report Posted July 24, 2016 Can't tell anything on the highlights about aucho but the goal we conceded?!? Fuck me. Awful. We had about 7 players in the box for the corner and they had 2 and score. Our goals were well taken.pawlett reacted angrily to the challenge, seemed to slap the guy in the face who then tried to head butt him. Both deserved to go. Quote
Reidzer 1314 Posted July 25, 2016 Report Posted July 25, 2016 A few posts I have seen across Facebook and Twitter seem to indicate that Aucho did not bad. A few nice touches and passes but he seemed a little off the pace which I dont think we can hardly blame the lad for considering he had just traveled from Kenya the day before. One post even labelled him a young Barry Robson, which in truth is the type of player we need in central midfield. Time will have to tell I guess, I think there is a Aberdeen XI playing in Orkney today so he may be part of that squad too. Quote

I'm still not trying to get too excited about it all until it happens. McInnes added: “Khalid got to us on Thursday and didn’t have much chance to train. “I’ve been working on this one for six weeks and, while we have other options, it would be remiss of me not to have a good look. “He’s only had 35 minutes so we’ll try to get another game fixed up to have a good look at him.” Quote
manc_don Posted July 26, 2016 Report Posted July 26, 2016 Trained with the first team today, McInnes described him as being "fine". Hopefully underplaying it Quote
