BobbyBiscuit Posted November 26, 2016 Report Posted November 26, 2016 Afraid not mate. It was a REALLY tough decision to make but the fact I've seen us lift the league cup twice and there well be other cup finals swung it in end. Amsterdam's not going anywhere chief. Quote

Kowalski Posted November 27, 2016 Report Posted November 27, 2016 Bit of a sucker punch goal to lose but plenty of time to get back into it. COYR. Quote
Kowalski Posted November 27, 2016 Report Posted November 27, 2016 We're fucked now. Nobody came near to closing Forrest down. Quote
Slim Posted November 27, 2016 Report Posted November 27, 2016 Does Scott Brown have Kenny McLean's testicles in a little velvet purse? One of the most gutless performances I have ever seen from an Aberdeen player. Quote
rocket_scientist Posted November 27, 2016 Report Posted November 27, 2016 When he puts McGinn on, Taylor off and Shinnie to LB, it will be at least an hour too late. Quote
rocket_scientist Posted November 27, 2016 Report Posted November 27, 2016 This is what happens when the manager picks the wrong team. Even O'Connor making schoolboy errors now. Thanks Derek. You shat it. You failed big time today. Just pathetic from a supposed professional manager. Quote
ayrshire_don74 Posted November 27, 2016 Report Posted November 27, 2016 fucking disgrace is ryan jack playing ? Quote
OxfordDon Posted November 27, 2016 Report Posted November 27, 2016 Calm yerselves - its not a "fuckin disgrace", its the same old story. Celtic win because money. The Scottish game will always be a mockery while there is such a massive financial imbalance in favour of one team. Quote
ayrshire_don74 Posted November 27, 2016 Report Posted November 27, 2016 pish , heartless gutless , epitomised by ryan hack Quote
rocket_scientist Posted November 27, 2016 Report Posted November 27, 2016 Calm yerselves - its not a "fuckin disgrace", its the same old story. Celtic win because money. It's not just about money. As a 5 to 1 chance, we had to give ourselves our best shot at it. Re-introducing Taylor made no sense. It unsettled the natural back four. Shinnie should ALWAYS be played at LB. Considine proved in recent games that he deserves his place in CB next to O'Connor. So having played Shinnie at LB the last twice, why stick him in midfield? It's been a shambles. Both the first two goals came from the side of the pitch Shinnie would have been marshalling had he been picked in his right position. There's no excuse for the gutlessness of this performance though. What the fuck has the manager been telling Jack, McLean and Hayes? Not that it's fair to highlight just three who shat it as they all did. And that's McInnes' job, to inspire and motivate them. He can't even select the best eleven. Quote
tom_widdows Posted November 27, 2016 Report Posted November 27, 2016 Calm yerselves - its not a "fuckin disgrace", its the same old story. Celtic win because money. Celtic win because of the mentality of their team and that of their opposition. They expect to win whereas the 'Scottish' mentality (as my Aussie GF calls it) kicks in with their opposition ie 'well they are better than us so we will probably lose.' I've only managed to see from the 50th minute onwards but the Dons players just dont look positive or confident. Get into the middle of the Tic half and then its 'rabbit in headlights' leading to a back or square pass and the move breaks down. Celtic have not looked flustered for even a second since I switched on. You can buy all the best players in the world but if the teams mentality isn't correct they will fall over their own Egos - Just look at the premiership each season. One or 2 teams will throw lludicrous money at their squad and fall on their arses up against lower spending teams who have a proper team mentality. Quote
LA-Don Posted November 27, 2016 Report Posted November 27, 2016 Fuck off. The manager shat it as did some of our players. But the players respond to the managers tactics and attitude. Sitting back and absorbing pressure is delaying the inevitable. We had to take this as a one off and have a go - our performances in the last 2 games proved these tactics aren't effective. We had a go at the start of the second half and while you can argue Celtic were two up at that time that's the attitude we should gave had. Really disappointed. We never gave ourselves a chance, and that wasn't down to Celtic. Nothing to do with money. Down to the wrong tactics. We were never favorites to win but why not at least try. Quote
OxfordDon Posted November 27, 2016 Report Posted November 27, 2016 You can buy all the best players in the world but if the teams mentality isn't correct they will fall over their own Egos - Just look at the premiership each season. One or 2 teams will throw lludicrous money at their squad and fall on their arses up against lower spending teams who have a proper team mentality. That's hardly a fair comparison - no team has a 10x advantage in spending power over another in the EPL. Champion's league money has destroyed the game in our country since 1995, having a go at our own players or questioning their mentality just because we can't afford to match them in a players arms race is positively Sevconian. ayrshire_don74 Posted November 27, 2016 Report Posted November 27, 2016 oxford your normally a sensible chap, but thus is apologist nonsense, were you happy with the performance ? Quote
OxfordDon Posted November 27, 2016 Report Posted November 27, 2016 No i'm not happy with the performance, i think we were below par, but i think some of the reactions above are blind to a bit of realism about the odds we face. Quote
