Ten Caat
Devlin would be a cheap option to replace Taylor. Think he is left sided too so could be a good fit alongside O'Connor but its a bit of a punt if true.... As said Ali Crawford is indeed a bit lightweight and quite similar to Hayes when its McGinn we are looking to replace. Deek should be given the 300k i reckon it would take to get the Dhims to part with Christie
BigAl
So, Liam Boyce Joint top scorer in the league. Could we, should we, will we ? Thoughts lads.
A llad insane
Certainly need ball winner in midfield , will that be Tansey ? New striker needed.
manc_don
Well Boyce is northern Irish so fits the bill...
Ten Caat
Definitely contributes more to general play than Rooney does. If we can punt Storey in the summer I wouldnt be against Deek firing in a 250k bid to see if they bite.
KennyFuckinPowers
A lot of foreign players were mentioned in a blog I saw on Twitter yesterday, can't remember the name of the writers etc... but they claim have to gotten Sviatchenko correct amongst others from several SPFL teams. They spoke of players leaving first, they reckon that Jack will go to the States, Ash Taylor will go to Hearts McGinn will leave and more surprisingly, they are of the belief that Logan will gone in the summer, no idea where that's coming from tbh. On to players in, they are very much of the opinion that McInnes has set his sights on a number of players from abroad. First up, they believe we are interested in a Slovenian Youth International by the name of Tine Kavcic. They also reckon we're looking at Miroslav Kacer, central midfielder who plays for MSK Zilina. To replace McGinn, they reckon we're after Haris Duljevic or Dino Hotic. And up front, they are of the opinion that we may test Ross County's resolve with a cheeky bid for Liam Boyce. Obviously this is all just rumour from them, but if they did get the other's right, Sviatchenko etc... then who knows. One thing for certain is though, McInnes does not buy abroad, or get on a free I should say. Anyone want to count how many he's signed that weren't British or played in the British leagues? baggy89
Would be a major gamble and thus significant change in attitude. McInnes likes players he knows. Unless these foreigners are in addition to tried and tested players. I'd have Boyce in an instant, by all accounts his barren streak (and county's poor form) came when being played out wide, moves back central and he starts scoring again. Tyrant
Since this'll be likened to "a new signing" and "the best bit of business we've done all year" etc etc etc etc I thought I'd put this here. https://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/fp/aberdeen-fc/aberdeen-pittodrie-pitch-mcinnes/ Aberdeen plan to tear up Pittodrie pitch ahead of Europa League campaign
Ten Caat
Cousins husband is a dyed in the wool jambo. Whilst having a facebook get it right up ye exchange with him last night he said hes not looking forward to next season because not only to they have a clown in charge but that he reckons their recruitment budget is going to be miniscule over the summer due to Budgie budgeting for European football (not happening) and what he described as "unforeseen problems" with the initial works in building their new stand, which will result in the finished product coming in significantly over budget. Deek.....go get Devlin the minute the window opens. And tell us that Taylor is offski today please...
100% Anti Kingsford
Cousins husband is a dyed in the wool jambo. Deek.....go get Devlin the minute the window opens. And tell us that Taylor is offski today please... Yeah, It is true that they (Hearts) have not got much money but neither most clubs aside from Old Firm due to having 40k season ticket holders each. We won't be spending transfer fees but can offer decent wages and Europa League football which they cannot. Supposedly Hearts spent £200k on pitch relaying couple weeks ago. Basically they have 8,000 fans putting in direct debits each month to the club of between whatever £10 a month up to some donators signing up for £1000's a month - Foundation of Hearts thing. That money is all guaranteed and secured by Budge who is a rich wifie and Chair. They have put in place a coaching model with Levein at the top and it all filtering down to Cathro but its a shambles as Cathro is completely out of his depth. He should be in charge of football operations (Levein role) and an experienced man should be in charge. The building work on the new stand is way ahead and on track but funding isn't and there is a bit of a panic due to a £1m shortfall. There is a hefty difference in finishing 5th and 2nd place. We get £2.4m and they (Hearts) will get 1.1m or something for finishing 5th. Just this week lots of initiatives have been muted to raise the shortfall. They will sell off part of the old stand (seats, bricks, chairs, benches, dressing room memorabilia etc) and try to raise money that way. They wanted to seel 16k season tickets but won't. I would doubt that they will sell out Tynecastle 20k every week. No chance. The 16k every week is a myth anyway - always gaps. I would guess they have a lot of problems on their radar Hearts - masses of problems behind scenes football wise. The structure was a good concept but its not working. Supposedly, Cathro has offered to resign a couple of times at meetings with the board but they are all 100% behind him. Its not Cathro's fault. He was a assistant coach and offered a 3rd deal to be the manager on big money. He'll get sacked soon and go back to coaching but whoever put him in charge needs shot. Not that I care - can't stand them as a club.
KennyFuckinPowers
I would suggest you unfollow whoever it is your following as i've never read so much pish in my life! Boyce (if County accept an offer which is highly unlikely) will go to England or abroad. Hearts are the front runners for Devlin, Marc McNulty is an option and a decent player, i'm still in shock at the pish of the post quoted As am I, hence why I said it's purely speculation. They claim to have gotten several players right, signing for clubs, before it was confirmed etc.... I would have go back and dig out all of there previous blogs etc... If I can find the tweet. I also believe it's bollocks, I don't for one second think that McInnes will go and bring in several foreign players, but you just never know. In any case, we have a massive job in rebuilding what looks set to be several key players/squad members leaving.
Nips_and_Tatties
DM after him apparently. first I heard but think it would be a brilliant signing. I think hes better than hayes and mcginn. (tin hat 0n ) lets get that deal done.
LA-Don
Noooooo. 34, past it, and has barely played in a year. I'd rather we spent the money on up and coming players who will potentially be with us for years and/or we can move on for some decent money. I'd take Gary Mackay Steven before Maloney. Ten Caat
At least 2 years past his peak, didn't wan Commons when he was suggested as a loan signing this time last year and for exactly the same reasons don't want Maloney now. What I do want is to see Wiggy show just an ounce of ambition and hand McInnes 500-600k and fire in bids to try to land Christie on a permanent deal and get Devlin in from Hamilton to replace Taylor ( I'd prefer Lindsay from Thistle but I believe he's headed south to Leeds). Speculate to accumulate I reckon 2 years down the line these boys would get us back about 4-5 times their initial outlay.

It's not like he's got a winning mentality either? Won a bit with the Dhims but since then used to losing and being crocked. Are our medical team bored or something? Grow up and stop disagreeing with everything I ever post. The reason I made it a new post was because it seems to have some substance and not just a rumour. It seemed quite important to let others know. Because the summer transfers is full of rumours, I for one tend to skip reading it and perhaps miss things.Maybe others do too, who knows. My deepest apologies fellow dons
100% Anti Kingsford
Absolutely terrible. Why on earth would McInnes be chasing a proven technically skilled international class footballer with 47 caps and 7 international goals??? Crazy. Why on earth chase a footballer who has won everything in Scotland and FA Cup. And who has proven Premiership experience, brilliant dead ball specialist and a great taker of corner kicks. Why sign a lad who is a native Aberdonian, went to school in Aberdeen, knows the club, knows the city? Why sign someone who can come on for last 15 mins in games and provide something different? Why sign a proven international - seems madness for the club to do this.

Players like Robson and Maloney do not come to clubs like Aberdeen at the peak of careers simply as they can get £15k elsewhere where as at Aberdeen you are getting £2k a week. We can only get proven internationals at Aberdeen at the end of their careers. They have influence, respect of youngsters, influence and good experience of free kick taking to pass onto the younger players. Why on earth would fans speak against signing Maloney? It is absolute bonkers not to sign him if we have a space and he wants to come.

Or should we just aim lower and get some SPFL average joe...yeah I'm excluding Shinnie and McLean. Let's raise the bar again and try getting better each year by signing better players with more pedigree than our shite league if possible. IF it's possible to sign Maloney, why would anyone be against this?

100% Anti Kingsford
He is injury prone. Never played much after his first spell at Celtic. Must be something about his fitness or well being. But he is on bench for Hull City often enough so he must be fit. Doesn't matter - we need experience. Give him a 2 year deal with add ons. Take him on for the last 15 minutes of games to change things and put free kicks into the box. Brilliant at free kicks, very good at corners, very good at crossing.
