Nips_and_Tatties Posted April 9, 2017 Report Posted April 9, 2017 Christie on for McGinn Stockley for Rooney Quote
manc_don Posted April 9, 2017 Report Posted April 9, 2017 Stream went down now I see they've scored, wtf?!? Quote
Nips_and_Tatties Posted April 9, 2017 Report Posted April 9, 2017 Ffs OConnor and Taylor Fucking shocking stupidity. We have made the wrong choices when in their box. No composure at all. Quote
Ten Caat Posted April 9, 2017 Report Posted April 9, 2017 Total shite and McInnes is getting the blame weve had loads of pressure 2nd half but with little end product, Hayes and McGinn been very poor but Deek refusing to change things. Embarrassing if we get beat by a team as shyte as sevco Quote
manc_don Posted April 9, 2017 Report Posted April 9, 2017 That is fucking awful. I'm genuinely in shock. That wasn't the game I was watching until my stream cut out. Thank fuck I couldn't get it working again. We shouldn't be getting beat 3-0 by anyone at home, least of all them. Quote
Nips_and_Tatties Posted April 9, 2017 Report Posted April 9, 2017 Fucking embarrassing McInnes u were outdone by Pedro. I can't understand why u wouldn't put Christie on. Hayes wasn't his best or McGinn and u have the likes of him on the bench. Baffling loyalty. Quote
OxfordDon Posted April 9, 2017 Report Posted April 9, 2017 That was absolute highway robbery. I guess they'll think they are world-beaters again then Still 9 points behind us. Quote
Ten Caat Posted April 9, 2017 Report Posted April 9, 2017 I stopped watching the second they scored their first. Saw it coming they had a breakaway about a minute berforehand and if Windass jr had played any sort of ball across goal they had 2 men unmarked just waiting for a tap in. Something then happened between Lewis, Jack and O' Connor and we were all at sea again when they broke away again to score. Check bbc website to confirm we got beat and nearly spewed my lunch to find out we lost another 2 goals in the following 2 minutes. Fuckin bottle merchants. 9 points ahead now but we have never done well post split and you can bet your bottom dollar the SPFL will give us Hearts Celtic and the tribute act as first 3 games post split now sevco have given themselves a chance of catching us. Arses better be getting kicked at training this week coming. Id take a point at the fermers right now if you offered me it Quote

Elgindon Posted April 9, 2017 Report Posted April 9, 2017 Just back - They didnt deserve to win that, but,we werent hungry or incisive enough. They closed us down pretty well.Rooney had a couple of chances, but offered very little for 90% of the game, would have had him off for pace to run through them more. Our movement was also pretty uninventive O'Connor was having a great game but for a moment of madness which cost us goal number 2,though the boy may have been on his blind side, and the initial pass from Taylor was stupid.I've defended Taylor a lot,but thought he was honking against ICT,and poor today Hope that was a freak.Need to come out all guns blazing whoever were playing next. Quote
donsdaft Posted April 9, 2017 Author Report Posted April 9, 2017 I thought O'Connor looked dodgy the whole game. Quote
Elgindon Posted April 9, 2017 Report Posted April 9, 2017 These Dynamo Berlin lads are a fair size. I hope they get right stuck into the Hun bastards Were they standing on the Y in the second half?.Noticed a group of bald heads and shades Quote

Id take a point at the fermers right now if you offered me it Not known for being the most positive, and reading the early posts on this threads which talked about cricket score wins I had a gut feeling the run would end today. I didn't expect to go into Sainsburys at 0-0 and come out 10mins later to find 3-0 but nothing really surprises me following the Dons. Who else remembers the Skovdahl teams 8 straight home wins run ending spectacularly in a 6-1 defeat to Livi? Personally I am not worried about Hearts, St Johnstone on the other hand.... Anyway to put things in perspective. Dons need 4 points from last 6 games to secure 3rd. However a win at McDiarmed Park next Saturday and 3rd is Secured. Dons need 10 points from last 6 games to secure second. Everytime Sevco drop points that target drops and they still have to face the Tic and an inform Partick twice Dons goal difference is +34 whereas Sevcos is +12 and a 22 goal swing in the last 6 games is unlikely so optimists could say only 9 points are needed. Onwards and upwards Quote
Edinburghdon Posted April 9, 2017 Report Posted April 9, 2017 Fucking awful result, first 10 mins we played exactly as we should have, pressing them every time they had the ball. Downhill from there though. How that ended up 3-0 is beyond me, massive let down against a very poor rangers team. Taylor needs punted, immediately. Quote
TheDeeDon Posted April 9, 2017 Report Posted April 9, 2017 Nae quite sure how we managed to lose 3-0 to them, but somehow we did. After starting off quite brightly we appeared to sit in and catch them on the break, if so that is so wrong, just play how we play best and let them worry about us. I don't think we played badly, but it was a niggly game with lots of stoppages which affected our fluency and Rangers players being taken out at random by the sniper on top of the south stand roof everytime an Aberdeen player went near them, I really hate that sort of shyte. I knew the run would come to an end, but what a very Aberdeen way to do it. I know it was a sore one but I was still disappointed to see the fans leave on the third goal, its not like we were doing too badly up until this afternoon, but I suppose thats fairweather fans for you and as for the muppet who threw the flare on to the pitch, nae doubt the daily hun will be frothing at the lips with that one, but will probably forget to mention the item being thrown at McGinn when he took the corner. What a really shit way to round of a weekend. Top don today was Shinnie by a mile, a couple of more like him in our team and we would be untouchable. We just have to move on and forget about it and hope that next season we can get another striker in who gives us something different up front and a centre back with the quality, attitude and determination of Shinnie wherever he plays. mondo Posted April 9, 2017 Report Posted April 9, 2017 Were they standing on the Y in the second half?.Noticed a group of bald heads and shades They were all over the place. They tried to get up to the fence but were being shadowed every step of the way by the plod. I headed up to G casino after and there was about 40 or so in the Castle gate along with 3 riot vans keeping an eye on things. Game wise, gutless performance. The 'occasion' got to us and too many times when that happens we can't get our game flowing. Furious with mcinnes for not freshening things up sooner. Our game was crying out for it. Going to take a few days to get this one out my system. Not surprised we fell apart when hayes has to step in to stop our captain and o'connor going to blows. Quote
LA-Don Posted April 9, 2017 Report Posted April 9, 2017 Only saw the second half. Totally dominated and played in their half until the first goal. We missed our chances and they took theirs. I'll praise Kenny Miller, great finish on his first goal, possibly touched the ball twice in the second half and 2 goals. Rooney didn't take his chances, tale of two strikers if you ask me. Quote

I think we know Deek doesn't really have a plan b, but was surprised we didn't see Christie or Pawlett on the park before the goals as neither McLEan, McGinn or Hayes were having great games, I think more so as to how they were being fouled so much and sometimes just a fresh player in the middle of the park offers that missing spark, but the goals were so quick the damage was done and it was all over for us. rocket_scientist Posted April 9, 2017 Report Posted April 9, 2017 Today was a shocker but it proved some things, not that they weren't obvious already. If the plan is to win things in the future, there is no room for Taylor, O'Connor, Rooney and Stockley. McGinn was useless today as well but he's offski anyway. Quote
manc_don Posted April 9, 2017 Report Posted April 9, 2017 St johnstone game is massive now. Absolute must win. Someone said jack was arguing with O'Connor just before the goal, anyone know why? I'm still having trouble come to terms with that result. Still in shock. Quote
100% Anti Kingsford Posted April 9, 2017 Report Posted April 9, 2017 Don't normally comment on these threads. The Dons team collapsed - like a pack of playing cards being flicked. Very easy for 'Gers. This is clearly a team that enjoys playing together, good lads, they can be robust and put 7 past Dundee no bother. Confidence is key with them. But when it is a big occasion they have major troubles - seen it before in the Betfred Final, also saw it v Maribor at Pittodrie. The players lack big game pedigree when you need them. The reasons IMO are quite simple: 1: There is a no leader in that team, a clear leader. For some reason Shinnie is not allowed to be a leader (why?) Why the F-hell is Jack still the captain? 2: Taylor has height, powerful lad, good and tall but under pressure he goes to pieces. 3: Hayes and McGinn are best players in team - if they have off days or do not produce magic then struggle. 4: I would argue McInnes cannot install a big game mentality in the players. Can't seem to do it. They play Hibs in 2 weeks - I would remind you the last time they played them (LC at Easter Road October 2015) Dons were ripped to shreads and never turned up. Beaten 2-0. This is a very good Aberdeen side, deserves credit for brilliant run. But when crunch comes by god they often go to pieces. And it is very worrying with a semi final coming up. Quote
