manc_don Posted April 6, 2017 Report Posted April 6, 2017 http://www.afc.co.uk/news/9436.php#.WOZhCWn1Bpg Aberdeen FC is pleased to announce an exciting new partnership with TopTix Sport ahead of the 2017-2018 SPFL Ladbrokes Premiership campaign. The new partnership will enable Aberdeen FC to drive fresh and innovative initiatives and work with leading edge technology to deliver a host of new benefits to the club and its supporters. The new system will be launched for season ticket sales during April, with all fixtures for the 2017-2018 season then managed on the new platform. One of the many enhancements within the new ticketing offering is the launch of the new on-line ticketing portal which will deliver a fully mobile responsive site for Dons supporters to buy their home and away match tickets as well as season tickets, memberships, community schemes and much more. Supporters will be able to access their own on-line customer portal to track their sales as well as browse all available games and events on-sale prior to logging into the site. Derek Matthews, Customer Services Manager at Aberdeen FC said. "As a club we are always striving for progression and a key area of the business which needed improvement was our ticketing system in order to enable smarter ways of working and to take advantage of new technology on the market. "The new ticketing site is fully mobile responsive so works across a range of devices from desktop computers, tablet devices and mobile phones and we will be rolling out a series of incentives over the season such as package offers, pricing benefits and the ability for disabled fans to buy their tickets along with carer tickets on-line. "This new partnership with TopTix is a significant positive development for the club and our supporters and we look forward to working with them to offer our supporters a first class ticketing service." TopTix Sport's Managing Director Peter Joyce commented: "Aberdeen FC approached us with a very clear set of guidelines designed around implementing a range of advances in technology that would ultimately provide a much improved experience for supporters buying tickets, season tickets, corporate hospitality and community schemes. We were delighted to be selected following a detailed review process and we have enjoyed working with club staff as we approach our initial go-live with season ticket sales in April. This is a long term partnership and we look forward to working with the club to deliver a range of benefits going forward". Quote
RicoS321 Posted April 6, 2017 Report Posted April 6, 2017 Does it mean I can ditch my ticket and simply scan my phone at the turnstile? That would be of added benefit to me in my quest for ever emptier pockets. Quote
