CtS Posted June 2, 2017 Report Posted June 2, 2017 I've got an issue with a season ticket renewal, complicated by the fact I'm trying to purchase two extra ones for next season. General sales begin on Monday, but the deadline for the 4 month interest free deal ends today - is that right? So only current ST holders can use the interest free option? Also, do we think season ticket numbers will be down because of the player (and possibly management) exodus? From what I could see on the screen in the ticket office there were an awful lot of blank seats waiting to be renewed... Quote
RicoS321 Posted June 2, 2017 Report Posted June 2, 2017 I've renewed mine. That's all that matters. Quote
gosgka Posted June 2, 2017 Report Posted June 2, 2017 remember if you buy your tickets early there is a chance you will get to sit on the bench, cause the way its going we will have no players left Quote
100% Anti Kingsford Posted June 8, 2017 Report Posted June 8, 2017 Hibs have sold 11,600 season tickets so far (start of June). Quote
TheDeeDon Posted June 8, 2017 Report Posted June 8, 2017 Hibs will have an upturn due to their fans enjoying the competitive nature of the diddy leagues and gaining a promotion. I renewed ours on Monday and was told sales were down on last year, but still steady, be a shame if we went backwards after a seaon like the one just finished. Quote
Elgindon Posted June 8, 2017 Report Posted June 8, 2017 Weve sold around 7k so far. I'll probably renew, but understand others holding off for now Quote

100% Anti Kingsford Posted June 8, 2017 Report Posted June 8, 2017 7k season tickets - not many, poor. I can understand why so few. I wouldn't buy a season ticket either and no need to even buy one for AFC in SPL. Even if the club reaches 2 finals tickets finals are easily sourced. Ibrox ticket - easy, semi-final - easy, Europe - easy. Just join a supporter club, no need for a season book. The club has made no effort to improve the atmosphere at Pittodrie. Prices have gone up (shocking price entry and very bad value). The club has been giving away tickets for the Merkland for years tells you all you need to know. Quote
Jute Posted June 9, 2017 Report Posted June 9, 2017 Not renewed mine yet and probably won't. Cost of transport on top of games being moved from 3pm on a Saturday means it's no longer worthwhile. Quote

Gutted, I have already paid for mine but now I know you wont be going I might try and get a refund Joining a supporters club doesn't guarantee you a ticket for Ibrox or the cup games. As for Europa, for the more popular games the club usually do a ballot so it's pot luck. The atmosphere at Pittodrie is, as you have said, dire to say the least. North East folk like to go to the games and just watch football. It isn't all down to the club. Quote
Chris Frae Killie Posted June 16, 2017 Report Posted June 16, 2017 Surely with the news that Derek and Tony AND Paul Sheerin are staying, sales will rocket now? If we get a couple of decent signings in the next week or so, I envisage us to be back up to 10k+ before the season starts. #inderekwetrust Quote
tlg1903 Posted June 16, 2017 Report Posted June 16, 2017 Agree with Chris, if reports are to be believed we may actually spend some cash so we'll hopefully get a season ticket bounce. Quote
Three Crazz Posted June 16, 2017 Report Posted June 16, 2017 The club should extend their spread the cost opertunity for another couple of weeks to encourage those who were holding off because of the situation of uncertainty Not that that put me aff through thick and thin for us Die hards COYR Quote
CtS Posted June 16, 2017 Author Report Posted June 16, 2017 I also renewed and added 2 new ones - long before last nights events. But I agree there will be surge of enthusiasm now and I don't see why ST numbers should be down. If we're serious about prolonging the Rangers suffering we need the fans to up their game too. Quote

Stoneydon Posted June 17, 2017 Report Posted June 17, 2017 The atmosphere at Pittodrie is, as you have said, dire to say the least. North East folk like to go to the games and just watch football. It isn't all down to the club. I agree, the atmosphere at Pittodrie has always been poor. One thing I always notice is that they only change the music once every twenty years or so. It's as bad as the music selection on Northsound. The singing section in the Merkland is also a bit of a joke as others have metioned on this forum. Having said that, I thought Reds and Co were quite good even though I could hardly see them from the back of the South stand. I go to Pittodrie to catch up with family and friends as well as watch the game so I don't spend much time singing or cheering. A bad ref or a few strong tackles seem to get the fans going more than anything the club do. Quote
Reidzer 1314 Posted June 19, 2017 Report Posted June 19, 2017 Me and Dad renewed ours again back in May I think it was, took advantage of the spread the cost over 6 months offer. We have switched stands though from the Merkland to RDS. Quote
manc_don Posted June 19, 2017 Report Posted June 19, 2017 Any news on whether things have picked up yet? Quote
Garlogie_Granite Posted June 20, 2017 Report Posted June 20, 2017 Don't worry, season ticket sales will go up when Kingsford gets built. Indeed. Doubt there will be many spare seats for season one especially. ST will be essential. Quote
Elgindon Posted June 20, 2017 Report Posted June 20, 2017 Reading else where weve sold just under 8000.Given the uncertainty about Del,while waiting on signings and the local economy, not an unreasonable amount? Would be hopeful of getting 10k plus STs sold once some signings come in..... Quote
100% Anti Kingsford Posted July 2, 2017 Report Posted July 2, 2017 Heard AFC has shifted approx 9,000 and estimate a maximum of 10500 sold. Some other clubs have made announcements - Hearts 13,000, Hibs 14,500. At the start of June it was estimated Aberdeen had shifted only 7,500. Quote
Elgindon Posted July 10, 2017 Report Posted July 10, 2017 Contrary to reports elsewhere, pleasantly surprised to hear we've sold over 10,000 STs now,on official site.More than at the same time last year. Quote
manc_don Posted July 11, 2017 Report Posted July 11, 2017 Definitely an improvement, how do our prices compare to HIVs and the Hobos? Hopefully we'll see an increase in the uptake Quote
Elgindon Posted July 11, 2017 Report Posted July 11, 2017 All clubs have different deals, but we're similar to Hibs prices.Hearts have a mix of the least and most expensive seats Quote
