BigAl Posted September 8, 2020 Report Posted September 8, 2020 Watched that last night on a Corfu bar. Even the Greeks were saying in advance how given the circumstances behind the game that we should win at a canter and then during it couldn't believe just how bad we were. As I said to them, that's Scottish International fitba for you. Quote
RicoS321 Posted September 8, 2020 Report Posted September 8, 2020 Difficult to say though, the lack of match sharpness was very clear, McLean, Fleck, Armstrong and McTominay especially. The next set of games will give a much better indication. Seems like Clarke wants to play a back five, but McKenna is the only reliable centre half in the squad at the moment. Think we'll really struggle if we get past Israel, but we could well fluke our way to a tournament if we just avoid getting covid. Quote
tup1 Posted September 8, 2020 Report Posted September 8, 2020 I'm not sure the Czech C team was as bad as made out, and they had six players from the local team playing so it was effectively a home game for most of them in familiar surroundings. So it's a good result, not the greatest performance but who cares. Quote
ayrshire_don74 Posted September 8, 2020 Report Posted September 8, 2020 result matters not pretty to watch, Mctominay doesnt work at CB though Mckenna did ok Quote

RicoS321 Posted September 8, 2020 Report Posted September 8, 2020 4 dons in the squad. The most from one team? You'd think they'd put the teams on the squad list. Dicks. Quote
Jute Posted September 8, 2020 Report Posted September 8, 2020 0-0 at half time. Scotland with most of the ball but no cutting edge. Quote

scotfree Posted September 30, 2020 Report Posted September 30, 2020 What the fuck went wrong with Jordan Rhodes? A few year back he was scoring for fun. I thought he would have been in the Scotland squad for years the way he was going. Over 150 goals in in less than 300 games for Huddersfield and Blackburn. Moved to Middlesbrough, Shef Wed and Norwich. He's played 120 games with the three and only scored 30 goals. But with the shortage of strikers you would think he would still be a option. No? Quote

Madbadteacher Posted October 7, 2020 Report Posted October 7, 2020 Being pretty unenthusiastic about Scotland for several years now I could hardly have told you who was in the squad anyway. Quote

BigAl Posted October 7, 2020 Report Posted October 7, 2020 McKenna, Palmer & Burke withdraw from squad with injuries. Might need to dig out my boots Quote
