SeeBass Posted October 3, 2017 Report Posted October 3, 2017 How many players have you seen netting a hat-trick while attending a game. Think this is my list. Robbie Winters versus Motherwell 1999 Paul Hartley versus Hamilton Academical 2010 Scott Vernon versus Dunfermline Athletic 2011 Adam Rooney versus Livingston 2014 Adam Rooney versus St.Johnstone 2017 I always thought as a kid why didn't my team ever seem to grab a hat-trick or three every season. tamzarian Posted October 5, 2017 Report Posted October 5, 2017 Seen a few mentioned above - Rooney, Hartley, Winters. Does anyone remember Joe Miller scoring a hat trick, possibly against Killie, possibly in the replay of the game that was postponed when the lights went oot mid-game and didn't come back on? I might be tripping balls to be honest. If not, then Joe Miller as well. Quote

May have been his first for the dons? Quote
SeeBass Posted October 5, 2017 Author Report Posted October 5, 2017 Did Dean Windass not get four and Billy Dodds three in a 7-3 win at Greenock Morton one midweek??? Quote

Ten Caat Posted October 6, 2017 Report Posted October 6, 2017 Forgot about the Jess hat trick at Tannadice which IIRC was Duncan Ferguson's full debut for the dabs. pitch was horrendous, cutting up badly so they sent out their youngsters at half time armed with various gardening implements to do some emergency repairs with the groundsmen. Cue an impeccably orchestrated chant of "YTS YTS YTS...." I had taken the now divorced Mrs Caat to the game and even she nearly pashed her punts. Nowadays she pashes her punts for medical reasons.... BigAl Posted October 6, 2017 Report Posted October 6, 2017 Seen a fair few of those mentioned, others to add to the list however Zero away to Dundee (stamping in puddles as part of celebration) Vernon away to Arabs at end of last season with us Strictly speaking Vernon one probably doesn't count for me as actually watched the game on Sky whilst on holiday in Turkey Quote
SeeBass Posted October 6, 2017 Author Report Posted October 6, 2017 The one thing I always remember about the 6-5 Winters hat-trick at Motherwell is how Paul Bernard scampering towards goal for our sixth seemed to take an absolute age in slotting home!!!!!! Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted October 6, 2017 Report Posted October 6, 2017 Did Dean Windass not get four and Billy Dodds three in a 7-3 win at Greenock Morton one midweek??? Was at that one too, forgot that one. Koumbuare's debut i seem to recall. The local bams were out in force that night too. Windass's 3rd or 4th that night was absolutely brilliant. Similar to Shearer's volley in the play-off game v Dunfermline. Quote
1903_Redz Posted October 8, 2017 Report Posted October 8, 2017 Was no one at the Falkirk Stadium to watch Vernon notch a hattrick after coming on as a sub? No? Me neither, but thought it worth the mention with him not even starting the game. Quote
