Unit Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 Humped by a team previously in free-fall. Not only are we a soft touch, we're quickly becoming a laughing stock. Just a shambles. Say what you like about individuals, the buck stops with the manager. More tinkering today, at least 3 formations, one save required by Combe in 90 minutes, Lovell warming the bench again despite being our best hope of a goal in my opinion.....need I go on? Quote
Mackie's ace! Posted February 24, 2008 Author Report Posted February 24, 2008 Erm, we scored somehow? Even they don't know! Quote
manc_don Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 So did Mackie score it or was it an o.g.? Quote
Kowalski Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 erm...when getting beat is it not natural to change things? Quote
Penfold Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL Radio given it to Combe. Quote
Mackie's ace! Posted February 24, 2008 Author Report Posted February 24, 2008 erm...when getting beat is it not natural to change things? The entire team? No. Quote
Kowalski Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 The entire team? No. Thought there was a limit on 3 subs? Quote
manc_don Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 So Mackie still hasn't scored since September is it? But Lovell scored on thursday...nice one jimmy Quote
Mentorred Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 See we scored we don't need Lovell, well played Jimmy  Quote
Mackie's ace! Posted February 24, 2008 Author Report Posted February 24, 2008 Thought there was a limit on 3 subs? Not the point I was making, and you know it. Why the same team that played okay on Thursday against the team that will probably win the UEFA Cup is not fit to play Kilmarnock is beyond me. Same goes for Lovell scoring goals and not being worthy of a game. Quote
manc_don Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 See we scored we don't need Lovell, well played Jimmy  Or you could say, you don't need Aberdeen Quote

Same goes for Lovell scoring goals and not being worthy of a game. Langfield and Aluko were the only ones I'd have dropped from Thursday. Aside from Calderwood's tactical shambles, we don't know whether any tiredness has set in. As for Lovell, he is not the answer. Top 6 a struggle now though. Quote
manc_don Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 But why do you think Aluko deserved to be left out? Our defense sounded like an absolute shambles again. They are never ever allowed to gel. Chopping and changing things is killing us week in week out. Why can we all see it but that numpty cannot. Quote

The Mackie/Miller partnership is clearly working well, as is Maguire coming on as a sub. Quote
Mackie's ace! Posted February 24, 2008 Author Report Posted February 24, 2008 Our last 'good' result in the league was probably 1-1 v Rangers at Christmas, when we could've maybe won. Miller scored. Since then goals have come from: Lovell Lovell Nicholson (pen) Smith Lovell Smith De Visscher Smith Diamond Considine Miller Walker Aluko Diamond Lovell own goal Smith is injured and we are missing him a lot. Diamond is a defender and we should not be relying on him to score goals. Quote

Lovell should start the next game, but I'm not sure any of our strikers are setting the heather alight. Quote
manc_don Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 He must have done, but him and lovell actually play well. Mackie does nothing, ok effort, but that doesn't matter because he doesn't produce. Quote
Mackie's ace! Posted February 24, 2008 Author Report Posted February 24, 2008 Possibly. But Aberdeen forced in a bizarre consolation with four minutes left in the match. Kilmarnock keeper Combe fumbled the ball through his legs and into the net under pressure from Chris Clarke. Quote

manc_don Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 Switched off. Can't be arsed with it. Don't want to read anything aberdeen related for a few days now. I was even considering going up for the motherwell game...don't think so anymore. Listening to some light hearted carling cup action instead Quote
