Another dismal defeat today  :(

JC will undoubtedly point towards the cost of playing in Europe on our team, in terms of fitness, injuries, fatigue - to an extent I fully agree with this - we do not have the required depth.

Although the squad is knackered - tactics today were bordering on the bizarre. ??? It is almost as if JC is out to hang himself?

Very Bizarre if not unexpected result.

Would the real Aberdeen FC please turn up next month.

WE don't want them to turn up next month. We still have motherwell this wednesday! They need to turn up now but they are being hindered by a manager who has no idea to organise a team. Tactics have been pathetic all season, which is why we are where we are. Yes the players haven't helped the cause, but they don't know what they're supposed to do. This is due to them being told to change tactics every 20 mins or so. Its just plain silly. Consistancy stems from a steady formation. I'm absolutely raging.

But who is the real afc?

The one that has played a handful of decent games in europe

or

The one that have turned up in all their domestic games...bar a couple of freak performances....

The real AFC are pish. Anybody can get motivated for big games in Europe and put in half decent performances.

A good team would perform at a consistent level in the league and certainly wouldn't be sitting 9th approaching the split.

Lets hope the real AFC are the version we all hope for - the team that showed the ability of being able to hold down a decent top half finish in the league prior to January, regardless of type of performance.

Form determines how well a team do - you cannot take away ability. However limited we may think it is just now - it is there. Things may look a lot different in a months time, granted they may be also worse but am ever optimistic in the face of adversity, you cannot excuse the Dons of not drilling that attribute into each and every fan.

Saying that then Chris Clark and Michael Hart could be counted as the real AFC in the first half of the season and since most think that Maybury is an adequate like for like with Hart, then Chris Clark must be the real AFC and the one deciding factor in our decline. He was evidently a witch doctor and cursed us as he left.

I think Europe has a played a major part of our downfall in the league this season and even the 3 games in the CIS cup and the replay in the Scottish cup has added to this, thats an extra 12 games. I personally think any professional footballer should find playing 180 minutes of football a week simple enough, physically. However, if you play twice a week for about 5 weeks in a row it will take its toll, but not really in a physical sence, but a mental sence. It must be pretty difficult to pick yourself up for a game at Rugby Park after playing the Alianz Arena.

And also, if you play more games, you have more chances of injuries, our squad just isnt big enough to cope with this.....would'nt it be great that we could be in europe have a couple of injuries and have the likes of a Gow or a Riordon going unused.
