tom_widdows Posted December 1, 2017 Report Posted December 1, 2017 Have to say this one looks a bit ropey to me. The city won the right to host some of the games but didnt have a 35000 seat stadium and their local team doesn't need that capacity. Result was they rebuilt the whole thing but have left the ends open and installed 12000 temporary seats which will be removed after the tournament and then the redevelopment will be completed. I've seen complaints that some parts of Sunderlands stadium make you feel cut off from the rest of the crowd but this takes that up a notch Quote

manc_don Posted December 2, 2017 Report Posted December 2, 2017 Some of the views from the wings on the London 2012 aquatic centre were horrific. This looks even worse! Have to say, haven’t paid much attention to this or the Qatar bids. I’d have thought the Russians would have been fairly on the ball with this Quote
donsdaft Posted December 2, 2017 Report Posted December 2, 2017 Hey Tom min. See, we fuckin told you it could be done. Stay at pittodrie, knock down the Merkland stand and just wheel that thing down Merkland Road East and fix it in place for big home games. It may sound far fetched but it's a damn sight more feasible than their transport plans for Westhill. Quote

Ten Caat Posted December 2, 2017 Report Posted December 2, 2017 I would be signing it up as a player.... It's more mobile than Consi, better in the air than Reynolds and carries a bigger goal threat than Maynard... Quote
Nips_and_Tatties Posted December 2, 2017 Report Posted December 2, 2017 Arent stadiums giant jobby toilets for giants anyway? Quote
