Elgindon Posted December 10, 2017 Report Posted December 10, 2017 Might head down to this one if I can manage Would like to see Stewart get a run of games.Seen glimpses of what he's capable of in recent times. Also a run of games for either GMS or Wright. I'd also be tempted(winna happen) to give Harvie a start, with Shinnie ahead of him helping out. ...and keep pressing.Dundee created as many,if not more chances after we decided to game manage. That being the case, why not spend more time getting into the knack of attacking,a weak area for us For me; Lewis Logan O'Connor/Arnason McKenna Harvie MacLean Shinnie Stewart Christie GMS/Wright May Quote
Nips_and_Tatties Posted December 10, 2017 Report Posted December 10, 2017 I think Ross deserves a place in this team. Id put him on for the first half at least Quote
RicoS321 Posted December 10, 2017 Report Posted December 10, 2017 Why does Ross deserve a place? I'm not saying he doesn't, just intrigued by why you think he does. Given he was taken off at half time, I'm wondering if he maybe would be better coming off the bench. As for Harvie, I'm pretty certain he's a right back. Would prefer him to get time in his favoured position. Again, maybe from the bench. Logan deserves a rest. Played every game since he arrived just about. Quote
Elgindon Posted December 10, 2017 Author Report Posted December 10, 2017 Harvie,left back - https://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/fp/aberdeen-fc/dons-sons-daniel-harvie-leaves-loan/ Quote

Given he was taken off at half time That's a bit harsh - the boy was subbed for tactical reasons, not necessarily because he was crap. Quote

Would prefer him to get time in his favoured position. Again, maybe from the bench. Logan deserves a rest. Played every game since he arrived just about. For the simple fact he scored a world class goal against the Huns. No other fucker did(outfield). And every time I've seen him he's shown great skill. He's a player like wright that needs game time. They're exciting..full of energy and dying to show their skills. If you thwart players like this then why bother at all? He can come off the bench as well however, the difference n psyche between a player in the starting 11 and coming off a bench is huge. Quote
Jute Posted December 11, 2017 Report Posted December 11, 2017 This will be a tough one again. St J, last game aside, usually try to shitfest it against us and try to sneak something. Cannot see Wednesday being anything different. May supposed to be fit for Wednesday so would expect the line up to change. Not convinced Ross being taken off at half time was tactical as thought he was pretty poor on Friday. I would expect Arneson to return to defence with O'Connor dropping out. McLean and Shinnie to continue in midfield with Christie Stewart and Wright/GMS in front of them and May in for Rooney. Oot at the moment as not sure I can be bothered getting home after midnight due to shit public transport Work Flat Flat 1-0 May Quote
TheDeeDon Posted December 11, 2017 Report Posted December 11, 2017 Another tough game for us and not exactly a happy place for us over the years, but another result to be ground out by. Selection wise, I have gave up trying to guess with McInnes. You know the core line up, it's just the curve balls he throws in which infuriate me. I would like to see Arnason return beside McKenna, who has been the one bright spot of our season so far. 1-2 Wright and Stewart. Quote
manc_don Posted December 12, 2017 Report Posted December 12, 2017 Horrible venue for football, probably more so due to the type of football that gets played there. Neither team are in great form at the moment so I don't expect it to be pretty or open. I'd probably try and get May to run at them but he needs the service first to give him those opportunities. Out Bed Might be able to catch it before an interview, probably better if I don't mind. Above or lunch 1-1, May Quote
Nips_and_Tatties Posted December 13, 2017 Report Posted December 13, 2017 come on guys. Let's leapfrog the Huns and keep the pressure on Celtic. 2-1 us. Shinnie and Christie. Quote
RicoS321 Posted December 13, 2017 Report Posted December 13, 2017 Horrible venue for football, probably more so due to the type of football that gets played there. It's because of its shite location. It's an out of town shopping centre. Perth is a lovely city otherwise. We'll tank them. 0-3. Christie, Arneson and May Quote
donsdaft Posted December 13, 2017 Report Posted December 13, 2017 It's a horrible venue altogether. Ours will be worse though, even less there, stay at Pittodrie Tonight's score? Bloody freezing 0-1 I'm only not saying 0-0 because of misplaced optimism. Quote
Madbadteacher Posted December 13, 2017 Report Posted December 13, 2017 Might make it onto chat if we're not too busy here. 1-1 Rooney penalty in the 93rd minute Quote
Elgindon Posted December 13, 2017 Author Report Posted December 13, 2017 Am oot for this one. Team sheet Lewis Logan Shinnie Arnason McKenna OConnor MacLean Stewart Christie Rooney May Subs - Rogers,Considine,Reynolds,Maynard,Wright,GMS,Ball. Frank Ross injured btw Quote
manc_don Posted December 13, 2017 Report Posted December 13, 2017 Yaassss Rooonneeyyyy same team that won 3-0 earlier in the season Quote
Garlogie_Granite Posted December 13, 2017 Report Posted December 13, 2017 I really really really need to wait on team lines before betting. This had 0-0 written all over it, and then there's tonight's team. Well ultimately it's the result that counts, a bit of tempting fate worked wonders Quote
Elgindon Posted December 13, 2017 Author Report Posted December 13, 2017 Some of us ben the hoose http://chat.donstalk.co.uk/example/default.html 3 - 0 Partick btw Quote

Nips_and_Tatties Posted December 13, 2017 Report Posted December 13, 2017 Well played rico. Is there a forum match ball you can receive? Quote
manc_don Posted December 13, 2017 Report Posted December 13, 2017 Goals from the game today . Good finish from Rooney there, a lot further out than his normal goals https://twitter.com/ByTheMinAFC/status/941087227882418178 Quote
RicoS321 Posted December 13, 2017 Report Posted December 13, 2017 Cheers lads, I shouldn't have doubted Rooney to get a goal against Saints, he loves scoring against them. That's not an appropriate comment to make about another person's daughter. Quote
