It is indeed Diamond......1 year contract apparently

Ha ha, I assume it's just a joke. It was certainly the most ridiculous person I could think of. Although when you wrote "phuq" spelled like that, I thought it reminded me of "plug" so it was subliminal.

For what it's worth, I think he'd be the worst possible signing anyone could have ever thought of.

Let's just get Ryan Christie signed up. We are sadly lacking a creative payer. Celtic do not want him, McInnes thinks the sun shines out of his ar*se.

Just make it happen Aberdeen.

P.S

Bit of advice for D.M, play Scott Wright from the start of every game and drop Stevie May to the bench

If we were to sign someone from Celtic I'd far rather we tried for Scott Allan. Can pick a pass and create chances which right now we just aren't doing. Christie I feel is just too much of a "me me me" player.....can be devastating on his day but hides when things aren't going his way.

Still need a striker in first though (in fact probably 2 as I think I've joined the band that believe Cosgrove is terminally pap)

It looks like to me that the present Aberdeen squad ( just after a few games ) could probably get results every week from the poorer teams in the Premiership but not the so called big guns. We need to get rid of May to begin with then bring in a creative player to feed our strikers. Cosgrove needs more game time and he may improve.

All we seem to do is cross the ball from the wings and HOPE to get some sort of contact from our front players but we need players who can beat the opposition in midfield then play that final pass to a descent striker to hammer home.

Actually thought May wasn't that bad today, linked play well and put in a couple of crosses which should have seen a better end product. Cosgrove was awful. i do agree with Lencarl that we probably have enough about us to win against the bottom 5 pretty much all the time even when we are honking. However Hearts. Hibs and sevco are all better than last season and unless we improve rapidly they will take more points off us, probably significantly more, than we do against them. I'd say right now we won't finish higher than 4th unless we get probably 3 new players in before the window shuts......new main striker, full back cover (starter if its a left back) and a specialist number 10.

I can live with May not scoring that many (but certainly at least 10 per season) if he is laying on decent chances for whatever new striker comes on board. Cosgrove I'm afraid should now be restricted to 15 minute cameo's where we need to shake things up in games that aren't going our way.

Moult unused sub for Preston yesterday.

Christie not even in the Celtic squad for Hearts game.

Oh,we have made enquires about Zac Clough.

Saying nothing....

Preston also signed another Striker, who went straight into their starting 11, might be legs in this after all.

Man U striker James Wilson joining Aberdeen on loan according to Mail. Others saying he's already in Aberdeen having a medical.

Indeed, just read there the Mail's chief football writer, Stephen MacGowan's post that he was in Aberdeen on Sunday having a medical and all going well, will be announced tomorrow.

For you Rico, my good man, and the others who may not have heard of him, here is his career stats to date.....

53 Senior Appearances, 10 senior goals. Has played 15 games for Man U, scoring 4 times, his other 6 goals have came at loan clubs Brighton, Sheff Utd & Derby.

EDIT TO ADD - Sunderland also linked with him, Jack Ross confirming that he's interested in him and " although nothing is imminent, things change very quickly in Football "

Let's see where he ends up.

Would be an interesting signing if that happened. Although one to get the fans excited? Not sure. He the one who's dad won shed loads for betting on him playing for man utd?

Wilson injured his knee in 2016 and has only played 2 first team games since while on loan at Sheffield United according to soccerbase. As Manc says not the signing to excite the fans.
