Guest ally s Posted February 28, 2008 Report Posted February 28, 2008 Zander's played through a few injuries this season. We've also played an unfit Jamie Smith this season, although it could be argued if we hadn't then we wouldn't have gubbed FCK. Perhaps it comes down to trust? Maybe Jimmy simply doesn't trust the fringe players to come in and do a job? Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted February 28, 2008 Report Posted February 28, 2008 As I'm pretty sure Anderson did. But that's my point, they all went to new clubs and those clubs stuck them into recovery whereas we were happy to burn them out. That's just the kind of lad he is though... Yeah, totally agree with you. Smacks of desperation on our part. Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted February 28, 2008 Report Posted February 28, 2008 Had another thought about this late last night... We sold Anderson who was very rarely injured and he's hardly kicked a ball for Sunderland. Hart and Clark were next to be sold and both of them have started their new careers on the treatment table dispite only very rarely being out injured. Again that could all be shit luck but to me that says we're playing injured players or just not picking up on the fact that they're fucked. Very poor in my opinion. Clark was indeed rarely injured but the same cannot be said for Anderson and Hart. Quote
Superstar Tradesman Posted February 28, 2008 Report Posted February 28, 2008 Hart went through spells but I can only remember Anderson missing about one game in about 18 months. Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted February 28, 2008 Report Posted February 28, 2008 Hart went through spells but I can only remember Anderson missing about one game in about 18 months. Go back a bit further. But yes, in the last 18 months to 2 years he maybe missed about half a dozen games at the very outside. Quote
KGB Posted February 28, 2008 Report Posted February 28, 2008 For a guy with a dodgy knee he did well over the last 2 years but your right, go beyond that and he had horrendous injury problems. Quote
Superstar Tradesman Posted February 28, 2008 Report Posted February 28, 2008 Well he did well for the past 2 years, goes elsewhere and he's hardly kicked a ball. I'm beginning to wonder if this is our physio bench looks like this: Quote
chunk Posted February 28, 2008 Report Posted February 28, 2008 Go back a bit further. But yes, in the last 18 months to 2 years he maybe missed about half a dozen games at the very outside. So under previous management teams he didn't play as much? Sounds like further confirmation of the original thoery to an extent, though obviously may just be coincidence Quote

capitalsharpie Posted February 28, 2008 Author Report Posted February 28, 2008 Abderson broke a bone, so nothing to with stains or niggles. Quote

capitalsharpie Posted February 29, 2008 Author Report Posted February 29, 2008 Ankle. It was in his ankle. Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted February 29, 2008 Report Posted February 29, 2008 I know that's what he did at Sunderland. We were discussing his AFC career. Quote
