A llad insane Posted July 15, 2018 Report Posted July 15, 2018 Scott Wright looking really impressive & trialist c.b looked o.k Quote
awafaehame Posted July 15, 2018 Report Posted July 15, 2018 Wright was good early on, Forrester was good, Shinnie and Ferguson the others that played well. Worried that in under 2 weeks we face an EPL team with this team. GMS too easy pushed off the ball and Considine skinned too many times to mention. Very concerning. Quote

awafaehame Posted July 15, 2018 Report Posted July 15, 2018 That news couldn't just have reached you?? No, it didn't, when up against professional opposition. This was COVE R*NGERS! I never expected Considine to be skinned so easily either against such poor opposition. Very concerning in my opinion. Quote
Lencarl Posted July 17, 2018 Report Posted July 17, 2018 For Dons fans unable to attend Pittodrie on 20th July the Aberdeen V West Brom friendly is live on RED TV International. Quote
manc_don Posted July 19, 2018 Report Posted July 19, 2018 Many popping along to the game tomorrow? I'm expecting a signing reveal before the game, given that Rooney has gone. I have no basis for this, but surely to fuck. Quote
donsdaft Posted July 20, 2018 Report Posted July 20, 2018 No signing in the offing. I bumped into an older guy I know to be a Dons fan yesterday. "Have you looked out your boots?" says I I bet that joke has been made hundreds of times over the past couple of weeks. Quote
LA-Don Posted July 20, 2018 Report Posted July 20, 2018 Not sure who is healthy but considine and Reynolds out. Maybe... Lewis Logan- Devlin - McKenna - Shinnie Ball-Gleeson Wright - Forrester - GMS May McGinn injury doubt Saying that, pretty sure cosgrove will start.... plus possibly Ferguson, just don’t know the extent of the injuries. And I could see is going 4-4-2 this year with May and Cosgrove up top.... Quote
Elgindon Posted July 20, 2018 Report Posted July 20, 2018 Kick off delayed til 8pm,travel issues lewis Logan Devlin McKenna Shinnie Ball Ferguson Forrester GMS Wright Cosgrove Quote
tlg1903 Posted July 20, 2018 Report Posted July 20, 2018 Shinnie is at Lb, wonder if he'll be there for the Burnley game, happy days if so. Re the new players Ferguson looks proper box to box and forrester has good feet. Cosgrove is putting himself about well too. Quote
LA-Don Posted July 20, 2018 Report Posted July 20, 2018 Impressed by Ferguson so far, Forrester looks a tidy player too. Quote
tlg1903 Posted July 20, 2018 Report Posted July 20, 2018 Ball is having a good game too, we are starting to dominate it. Quote
tlg1903 Posted July 20, 2018 Report Posted July 20, 2018 non goal scoring striker scores very nice header Quote
LA-Don Posted July 20, 2018 Report Posted July 20, 2018 Shitty defending by McKenna and Shinnie on the goal, both should have won the ball easily. Definitely played at preseason pace, pretty slow at times. I’d say it’s a 4-1-4-1 with Ball holding behind Forrester and Ferguson, and Ball has looked ok. Really like the look of Ferguson, does not look or play like an 18 year old. Cosgrove has played reasonably well too, has done a good job linking up and a nice header. Quote
tlg1903 Posted July 20, 2018 Report Posted July 20, 2018 disappointing to concede but overall not a bad first half at all. Forrester looks a real find, his feet are quick and he has a great touch. Quote

BobbyBiscuit Posted July 20, 2018 Report Posted July 20, 2018 Good to hear positive reports. I think Ferguson will be a starter for us this season, a lot seem to think he'd be "one for the future" but I think he'll be used most weeks. Quote
Ramperbamper Posted July 20, 2018 Report Posted July 20, 2018 Looked good albeit a friendly, pleased for Cosgrove given some of the guff written about him over the last wee while. Quote

LA-Don Posted July 20, 2018 Report Posted July 20, 2018 Decent game but we are certainly weak in attack and had very few chances. Cosgrove played a decent hour, 2 chances and scored 1. Still a big target man and limited. May had a 1/2 chance from shinnie’s header but honking first touch, and did little else. Center mid looks pretty strong with Ferguson, Forrester, Gleeson, Ball, and even Campbell all looking tidy plus Shinnie who was left back today. Not opposed to Shinnie staying there after seeing the midfield today. Wide mid is a concern as we’re relying on inconsistent confidence players. Both GMS and Wright looked good in patches today but drifted in and out the game. Devlin looked solid too, good to see the new guys look the part. Quote
manc_don Posted July 20, 2018 Report Posted July 20, 2018 Sounds like a decent enough run about for the team. Are highlights on redtv? Quote
KennyFuckinPowers Posted July 21, 2018 Report Posted July 21, 2018 Very encouraging regarding Ferguson, think almost everyone who has seen him in the friendlies has praised him, but more so tonight. Gleeson & Forrester also seem to be good bits of business by the manager. With Ball & possibly Tansey & Campbell, perhaps we will finally see Shinnie reverted back to LB! I for one, am very pleased with this, if it comes to fruition. So a new right back & a new striker, possibly 2, are we ready for the new season? Or are we still short. Quote
A llad insane Posted July 21, 2018 Report Posted July 21, 2018 Decent enough workout for both teams, but just hope Wright's knock not too serious as i believe McGinn still not fit. WBA looked like they had another gear tbh, plain to see they have been playing at top level. Poor crowd, decent amount of pissed up baggies walking about though. Like the look of new signings in the middle of park, Forrester looks very composed & i'm beginning to see why Hamilton want more dosh for Ferguson , can see WBA coming straight back up tbh. We really urgently need to buy a striker or 2 though. Devlin & McKenna starting to form a really good understanding & i would like to see Shinnie kept at left back, some encouraging signs Quote
Jute Posted July 23, 2018 Author Report Posted July 23, 2018 Young Dons side beat Inverurie 3-2 tonight. Brown, Anderson and Dangana with goals for Dons. Quote
