donsdaft Posted July 26, 2018 Report Posted July 26, 2018 Not that Burnley should have been seeded of course, but Whoever wins this tie takes Burnleys seeding into the next round So, how come we've got the Turkish mob. They're obviously through to that round already so didn't have to partake in rounds 1 or 2 But aren't seeded? Strange Quote
LA-Don Posted July 26, 2018 Report Posted July 26, 2018 So, I’m assuming Lewis Logan-Devlin-McKenna-Hoban Ball-Shinnie GMS-Ferguson-McGinn Cosgrove Didn’t see that coming. Guess forrester and Gleeson not fully fit?? Quote
LA-Don Posted July 26, 2018 Report Posted July 26, 2018 Although may well be a hoban-Devlin-McKenna back 3??? Quote
LA-Don Posted July 26, 2018 Report Posted July 26, 2018 Just hope it’s not the most common Celtic and Rangers tactics. Have a go against a team still in preseason! Quote
ayrshire_don74 Posted July 26, 2018 Report Posted July 26, 2018 seems considine would have started at lb wtf seems shinnie will be cm this season Quote
Madbadteacher Posted July 26, 2018 Report Posted July 26, 2018 Anyone likely to be in the live chat this afternoon? Quote
manc_don Posted July 26, 2018 Report Posted July 26, 2018 FFS REDTV Can finally access the site. Totally agree, and most of the Burnley fans have been quite modest if anything.Whole build up has been quite low key too. Not usually ready for fitba at this time of year, but its quite an intriguing tie, totally unpredictable. COYR Spot on Quote
Kowalski Posted July 26, 2018 Report Posted July 26, 2018 Let’s get it right up that cunt Alastair Campbell who is at the game. COYR. Quote
manc_don Posted July 26, 2018 Report Posted July 26, 2018 Playing some good stuff so far. Good pen from gms Quote
manc_don Posted July 26, 2018 Report Posted July 26, 2018 Agreed, would like to see us put a bit more pressure on them again. Don't really look troubled Quote
wee toon red Posted July 26, 2018 Report Posted July 26, 2018 Great first half. Solid throughout the team and Cosgrove is giving their centre backs a beasting. Quote
LA-Don Posted July 26, 2018 Report Posted July 26, 2018 Solid first half. Problem is, the more we try to play the more space we give them so going at them leaves us vulnerable. I think tactics have been spot on so far. Lennon is their danger man and I'd stick GMS on his side so that Hoben (or Logan) always has a second player to help. We've had two or three scares but so far so good. Quote
LA-Don Posted July 26, 2018 Report Posted July 26, 2018 Sam Vokes changed the game when he came on. Up until that point we won absolutely everything in the air. Still in the tie. Quote
ayrshire_don74 Posted July 26, 2018 Report Posted July 26, 2018 cosgrove isnt going to score goals.. ferguson looked ok we need footballers in cm so for me should be gleeson ball and or ferguson forrester, shinnie should be lb but tell you what devlin mckenna v good Quote
tom_widdows Posted July 26, 2018 Report Posted July 26, 2018 Disappointing to concede but at least this rules out the 'park the bus for 90mins' tactic in the second leg Just hope its a repeat of last seasons trip to serbia and not the previous seasons trip to Slovenia Quote
LA-Don Posted July 26, 2018 Report Posted July 26, 2018 I thought McKenna and Devlin were outstanding, big Vokes showed his quality and strength on the goal. Put Shinnie at left back when Gleeson and Forrester are fully fit and we've a pretty tidy keeper and back 4. Ball was solid. Thought we were a bit too long ball at times, pointless after Cosgrove went off. Quote
Ten Caat Posted July 26, 2018 Report Posted July 26, 2018 Devlin m.o.m. for me, Ball, McGinn and GMS not far behind. Bad goal to lose, McKenna got a bit bullied by Vokes, seemed to lose sight of the ball. Overall draw probably a fair result, can't see us progressing now but would be delighted if the boys can prove me wrong Quote
