SeeBass Posted August 30, 2018 Report Posted August 30, 2018 Just looking at some of those going to be in draw tomorrow. A team from Luxembourg called F91 Dudelange only 27 years old that navigated three rounds of qualifying, a Norwegian lot Sarpsborg 08' just a decade in existence and sailed through four rounds of qualifying themselves, AEK Larnaca Cypriot based for a year shy of a quarter of a century also cruising through three rounds, our old friends Apollon Limassol swaggering past four rounds of qualifying also. Even a Scottish side just six years old gobbled up four opponents put in their way. What are we as a club doing wrong on this subject?? Quote
manc_don Posted August 30, 2018 Report Posted August 30, 2018 Combination of poor transfer windows, poor mentality and tactics imo. Last season being the worst. Its absolutely gutting that a 6 year old club has done it second time of asking. Quote
Ten Caat Posted August 30, 2018 Report Posted August 30, 2018 Not signing enough replacements early enough to replace those that left in the close season. And getting one of the 3 hardest teams we could have drawn at that point whereas a certain newish club in their second season in Europe got a draw that they would almost have hand picked if they had the choice. Those hot balls the SFA use mustve got transported to UEFA HQ..... Quote
SeeBass Posted August 31, 2018 Author Report Posted August 31, 2018 I wonder whether we need to see an Aberdeen team with more players from different countries in it. There does seem to be some evidence these smaller sides have this said element. Quote
Ten Caat Posted August 31, 2018 Report Posted August 31, 2018 I wouldn't be against that but I do doubt it is something you will see under the present incumbent of the manager's chair. Quote
SeeBass Posted August 31, 2018 Author Report Posted August 31, 2018 These teams seem to have a better spirit within said camp because of their multicultural identity. Quote
